I was leaving for the night shift and wondered at the strange looking northern lights as soon as I opened the front door. But it was a great halo. The schedule didn’t give up on going to better venues, so it was a satisfying front yard view. a few pictures are still waiting to be stacked, keep an eye on what they can accomplish. EDIT: added 4picture hdr from yesterday. Horrible place to shoot, but this time there was nothing ..

The really bright and colorful side moons were well visible even in the light of the street lamps when driving away from the center of Oulu. "Traditionally" they had time to dim a bit before I picked up the camera from home and got to shoot in the dark, but yes the phenomenon still had to show up at the time. At first, I could see something above the ring as well, but when I was shooting there was nothing left. Is there a pillar in the pictures? Many others in the Oulu region seem to have noticed this show.

Being one of the brightest halo phenomena I have seen in the moonlight. At first the attention was drawn to the bright zykk, for a moment I thought it was northern lights because it was so colorful. Then when I realized that it was a halo, there was a hurry to pick up the camera from inside. Fortunately, the halos brightened from here on out and the horizon ring just increased in length. The bright "side moons" and the upper concave Parry's arch also came to the fore. Even at 46 degrees there was a thin arc, I now marked it as a 46 ° ring (or would it have been an arc?). We still have to t...

Rare halo forms of moonlight. In addition to the 22-degree ring, there were side moons and a horizon ring, and the 22-degree top-side arc and the arc of the zenith environment were more difficult to detect.

A halo related to the moon was observed in Oulu. Around the moon, at a distance of a bright halo, a very thin partial perimeter was visible. Jupiter also joined the light play.

On both sides of the moon were visible bright side moons and streaks of light on them to the side. There was a bit of an attempt to make the perimeter visible.

The moonlight caused a colorful halo on either side of the moon, though the north side was dimmer. The south side occasionally showed handsome rainbow colors.
