A fireball at night, as bright as a cresent moon

12.5.2016 at 00.04 - Mäntyharju (IV)
Markku Siljama, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

An insane fireball. I was on the balcony, opening to the south when a bright blue-green fireball appeared high in the southwest that quickly swung north. . Total observation time closer to 5 seconds plus sound observation after a couple of minutes. Length of visible section n 30 degrees. A few minutes after the disappearance, there was a faint faint sound from the north, a puma. Shockingly gorgeous, if that didn’t drop the meteorite then nothing. Attached is an observational image, passing roughly over the Denebola star of the Lion.
