Kuu ja Jupiter

14.10.2021 at 18.52 - 18.52 - Mäntsälä (II)
Eero Väyrynen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Nice autumn feeling. "It was a gloomy and autumn night"

Kuu ja Jupiter

20.9.2021 at 20.44 - Sodankylä, Ukko-Luosto (IV)
Taisto Niskanen

It was also great to watch the rise of the moon and the appearance of Jupiter to the south in clear, calm and warm weather in the fine landscapes of Ukko-Luosto in clear, calm and warm weather.

Moon

20.9.2021 at 23.20 - Helsinki (IV)
Tuomas Salo, Ursa (Helsinki)

I photographed the full moon through a thin cloud.

Moon

18.4.2021 at 20.36 - Helsinki (III)
Pertti Ankkuri, Ursa (Helsinki)

The clear and serene weather enticed us to take a series of photos of our traveler. A set of nine images processed with PIPP and Autostakkert programs.

Moon

31.8.2021 at 00.40 - Suonenjoki (III)
Vesa Vauhkonen, Sisä-Savon Ursa

At the end of the planetary descriptions, we directed the tube to our orbit. Stacks of two videos glued with MsICE.

Moon

31.8.2021 at 11.05 - Kurikka (IV)
Marko Myllyniemi, Lakeuden Ursa

The moon was visible again in the morning just fine in the western sky like a thick sickle.

Moon

31.8.2021 at 07.40 - 07.45 - Espoo (III)
Tommi Ropponen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

There’s already time to start photographing the Moon, so I decided to test-shoot the Moon from the daytime sky when it was so good and high. Even when shooting with smart & tele-optics, you can't use filters that make shooting easier, so this was shot without any IR-pass filters. In the end, however, this seemed to become quite a passel (representing the best of my images on a shaky stock taken from the day sky), so let’s archive it here as well.

Moon

30.8.2021 at 09.59 - Kurikka (V)
Marko Myllyniemi, Lakeuden Ursa

The half moon was nicely visible in the blue morning sky.

Moon

29.8.2021 at 10.25 - Kurikka (V)
Marko Myllyniemi, Lakeuden Ursa

In the morning, the Moon was nicely visible in the western day sky.

Julius Caesar, Albategnius

29.8.2021 at 00.51 - 01.10 - Vantaa, Pähkinärinne (IV)
Paula Wirtanen, Ursa (Helsinki)

Surprisingly clear! Or well, at least almost. However, the moon was invitingly rising, so yes it was a telescope to be fetched for use. I still got it used in August. First we had to look at what belongs to Jupiter. Seeing was surprisingly good and lasted even large magnifications without ripple. This was due to a thin overhead cloud, of course, i.e. the details did not stand out significantly while the image remained a little soft, so I did not make an actual observation of the subject. 150x magnification was most useful, as with the Moon. However, the observation eye is worth school already ...

Moon

29.8.2021 at 02.00 - 02.15 - Järvenpää (IV)
Eemil Pietilä, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

About 60% illuminated by the moon. I used 2x barlow and a dimming moon filter for this. I stacked the best images, then edited the exposure of the image and sharpened the image. The end result was the most accurate moon image I ever took.

Moon

27.8.2021 at 04.17 - Kurikka (V)
Marko Myllyniemi, Lakeuden Ursa

When I left for work in the morning, the Moon was quite visible in the sky.

Moon

23.8.2021 at 22.30 - 22.45 - Ulvila (V)
Vesa Puistovaara, Porin Karhunvartijat

The idea was to get the Moon to rise above the horizon in the picture, but the abundant Cloudiness watered down my idea. However, the picture shows a rather low, ~ 3-4 degree height using an h-alpha filter. A total of 100 pictures, half of which are stacked in the picture.

Moon

21.8.2021 at 23.34 - Tuusula (V)
Kari Hassinen, Keski-Uudenmaan Altair

The sightings were quite cloudy, but as the almost full Moon rose, the cloud curtain gradually cracked, and the Moon became fully visible before midnight. The clouds created a special atmosphere in the image.

Moon

24.8.2021 at 04.19 - Kurikka (V)
Marko Myllyniemi, Lakeuden Ursa

On the way to work in the morning, the Moon illuminated the way of a traveler with its splendor ... ;-)

Moon

22.8.2021 at 22.15 - Helsinki (IV)
Tuomas Salo, Ursa (Helsinki)

I photographed a full moon that appeared yellow and I also got lighter images from it.

Moon

21.8.2021 at 23.39 - Ikaalinen, Sisättö (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

Almost the full moon was visible in the bright and handsome southern sky. Jupiter also shone bright on the left side of the Moon at the same time. The sky became clear for about an hour, so I got to admire the starry sky and the Moon. #bongaa100

Moon

13.8.2021 at 22.11 - Ikaalinen, Sisättö (III)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

Descending Crescent.

Georg Kieninger

Surprisingly, the sky became clearer and the Moon, which grew by almost 87 percent, shone between the clouds. The second image is a composite image: with normal exposure, the Moon would only appear as a bright bright dial. That’s why I stacked two images - a deliberately less exposed number one image with the Moon’s dark spots and craters clearly visible, and an image where the exposure mostly highlighted the clouds. In this way, the human eye sees the situation, that is, it corrects the "overexposure" of the Moon; the camera can only illuminate according to either the clouds or the bright moo...

Moon

20.8.2021 at 21.50 - Helsinki (III)
Tuomas Salo, Ursa (Helsinki)

I photographed the moon near the horizon and its yellowish color and differential refraction appeared in the image. Another image had been processed to get the basement off.
