The cloudless, calm weather and good weather enticed us to go to the middle of the field to watch Mercury appear after sunset. We had to spend half an hour looking through the bright sky to get Mercury in the field of vision. I couldn't distinguish it with my naked eyes, but somehow it stuck to the picture. Figure 1. Unprocessed image at 20:29 (38 minutes after sunset). Figure 2. The same as a mask. Figure 3. Guide lines added.

364P/PanSTARRS is a small comet currently about 1 AU from the Sun and very close to Earth at 0.14AU / 21 million km. Because of its proximity, the comet moves very quickly and even with short 30s exposures you had to follow the comet. The comet has a dense very small 40" / 4,000 km diameter coma and an easily distinguishable narrow 10' / 60,000 km long tail. The image of the cyan filter (CN 387nm) shows almost no CN emission with 364P/PanSTARRS. Often, comets have already formed a large CN coma at a distance of 1 AU from the sun, but this comet does not have it for some reason. Image 1) Cl...

The whole day has been spent disposing of the contents of the barn with the wind being favorable, so I didn't have time to photograph Aurinko until late in the afternoon. Fortunately, the Sun is starting to be quite high already, so that doesn't really matter, even if the filming jobs drag on a bit later. You didn't see very many spots there, and even the few were quite small. Some faculas could be seen at the edges of the Sun. Otherwise, it is less common to walk more than 13 km in your own yard! (If the cell phone pedometer is to be believed at all).

Osmo Action's fisheye attachment finally arrived and the camera got to the roof with it for testing, mainly to wait for repos. Unfortunately, they were weaker than the night before. However, as a bonus, I'll put a picture of one of them as well. I apparently tilted the camera a little too much to the south. The forest border to the north was left out of the picture, and that's where it mainly warped. At 11:16 p.m., a bright satellite seems to have flown near the Moon. I couldn't find a name for it using Heavensabov. I also tried Heavensat, but I don't think I really know ho...

When I was returning to my apartment, I saw a bright evening star in the western sky in the direction of the sunset, which is our neighboring planet Venus. I took a few pictures of it, but three of them had some kind of light effect from the lamp next to it, which makes it difficult to interpret them. So I took these pictures of the object with my old iPhone 5s smartphone.

Once after a long time the sun was visible in a clear sky, so I thought to see if there were any sunspots. I found three of them. Around two o'clock and five o'clock and the third at around three o'clock right at the edge of the picture.

Yesterday I skied a 7km run on the ice of Lappajärvi. In the middle of an open glacier, the crater lake certainly seemed huge. I related my experience to the Ptolemaic group I photographed on Wednesday by transferring Lappajärvi to the surface of the moon in the correct scale.

The night went by three tubes, exoplanet observation with eVscope, Messier objects with Vesper and testing with Dwarf II tube. The northern lights were also in the sky for about 20 minutes saying hello. In this picture, M99 captured on Vespera.

It was a bit too much adjustment for the evening at once. I watched the rocket launch at about 22:30 onwards, while the Vespera tube imaged the M86 mosaic, eVscope had two supernova alerts lined up, at At 23:00 the second supernova recording ended and I started a new one over a minute at 23, I checked again that the trees do not come in front of the observation and at the same time with the side eye if the rocket launch can still be seen, then I thought I would have time to send the report to the Seti Institute on the computer inside and quickly go back outside to see if the rocket could be se...

It was great to finally be able to explore the Moon in a sane atmosphere after a long time. The phase of the moon was a little less than half. The picture shows the surroundings of the Archerusian peninsula (Promontorum Archerusia). The conditions brought out both Julius Caesar and also the Rima Ariadaeus to the south of it stood out very clearly in the dark. Right at the terminator, Agrippa and Godin's base were still partially in shadow, and especially the Tempel next to Agrippa stood out in exceptional detail, as did the lava-based Lade. I would have liked to see maybe more of the Cayle...

Had the opportunity to observe the sky in Tenerife for a couple of nights. The zodiac light stood out well. However, the night sky was not as dark in Teide National Park as I had assumed beforehand. SQM showed 21.2 mag/arcsec2 on the first night (when there were no subclouds) and 21.4 mag/arcsec2 on the second observation night (when there were subclouds blocking the lights of the coastal population centers), so on the Bortle scale we were in class 3–4. For comparison, I have measured readings of 21.7 mag/arcsec2 at the best in Patvinsuo National Park in Finland, i.e. on the Bortle scale it is...

1993VB is a small asteroid that orbits the Sun in the inner asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The size of the asteroid is estimated to be 0.370-0.828 kilometers in diameter. Its orbit is highly elliptical and takes 2.65 years to complete one revolution around the Sun. Classified as an Apollo-class asteroid Classified as a Near Earth Asteroid (NEA) Classified as a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid (PHA) The purpose is to combine our data and possibly get more detailed information about the asteroid's rotation time, shape, size and orbit

On the first possible launch night (also) of the BROR campaign, I was at the stations and the visibility to the north was quite good. But that, like many other launches, was canceled due to local winds or cloudiness. As a consolation prize from that trip, a landscape planet picture was left on the memory card.

We chatted with the youth for a long time about whether there will be another curve outside the oval. The matter remained unclear due to the city's light pollution, humidity and occasional clouds. So we moved on to admire the really beautiful Moon and Venus. Näsijärvi's ice was in such skating condition -in a bad way- that you hardly dared to look for angles on it. So we grabbed the beautiful celestial objects in a jar from those footmen. Now, looking back, I raised my eyebrows that maybe that's it after all...the bigger wonkale too.

The light phenomenon/string of pearls was visible in the northwest/north direction. Star-like light balls moving relatively quickly and repeatedly in the horizontal plane moved like a string of pearls from left to right. The phenomenon was somewhat reminiscent of light streak projectiles or the projectiles of some kind of Star Wars pulse beam weapon or spaceship. In the picture above the trees, you can faintly see that "light chain", there were approx. 15 - 20 light balls in the chain, the number of which remained the same even though the chain was moving. The actual length of the chain is not...

A moving "band of stars" in the northwestern sky. In the tape, at least ten "stars" that flew peacefully in the west-east direction. A new "star" appeared as the old one reached the point where it faded from view. The balls moved symmetrically apart at the same speed. The phenomenon ended when no more balls appeared and the last one had followed the others to the decision point. When I woke up, the phenomenon was already flying in the sky. I rubbed my eyes for a while and finally woke up my husband to say that he sees the same as me. I had time to watch for approx. 5 minutes in total. Attached...

A friend and I were hunting the northern lights at the edge of the field when we noticed the lights of a long pole among the northern lights and stars, which looked like the stars around the pole. However, these moved clearly and at a constant speed in a straight line formation from us, the so-called downwards. The phenomenon lasted approx. 2 minutes until the aurora borealis decreased and at the same time the light disappeared from view. There were more than 10 star-like lights after counting from the picture. (The picture is shaky when I took it from my arm, but the picture clearly shows the...
