Halo phenomena covering the sky

28.6.2019 at 13.20 - 13.50 - Laihia (IV)
Kimmo Höykinpuro, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

Vigilant by the living observation, I still watched the sky today. At 13:20 I noticed other halos in addition to the 22r part of the morning alone. I wonder if there was something in these that did not come to be recognized.

One halo form

The morning halos passed live, and due to technical problems, didn’t even stay on camera. During the day, however, the horizon ring still happened to be visited and this time even grabbed the picture. The ring shows brightness at about 120 degrees away, but this may also be caused by clouds. The strongly distorting lens and angle of view and the fact that the Sun is out of the picture make the measurement quite cumbersome, so let's go with one basic halo now.

Several halo forms

28.6.2019 at 12.23 - 12.24 - Turku (II)
Johan Lindén, Ursa (Helsinki)

I spotted the top of the 22-degree arch fitting over the roof of the house (the house was covered in sun). At the same time, I noticed that a stretch of horizon ring was visible in the north. In the first picture, both halos (the sun is outside the picture on the left. In the other, a visible piece of the horizon ring. The pictures were taken with a Huawei handcuff. They have not been processed.

When coming out onto the terrace, an overhanging arch and a 22 degree ring were first observed. Other tires and side suns were observed. The latest image was from the smart phone of an on-site observer. Is there a special halo ring on the bottom left?

There was a uniform ring around the sky cover that cut the halo ring around the sun. At times the tires faded and became darker again. With my camera, I couldn’t get a picture of the whole sky cover. Figure 4 is taken from a large arc opposite the position of the sun on the sky deck.

Rare halos

28.6.2019 at 10.55 - 21.33 - Laitila (IV)
Pirjo Koski, Tampereen Ursa

The morning went a little 'long, the cell phone was silent after a night trip. I read the halo noise only when I woke up, the best set was mercilessly over. The thing is, I saw the finest horizon ever! The jury may check other possible halos, if any. The condition still covered 22 more gauze clouds, a picture of it later. The whole day had to be in traffic and the locality also changed a couple of times. However, these pictures are from Laitila. Edit: added a couple of mobile pictures.

A good play in the sky and a rush at work is a halo enthusiast’s nightmare. I didn't have time to describe and follow this any more. If it had been a summer vacation already, I would have been in the field all morning picking up stacking material. The horizon ring was also visible as a full circle for a moment. PS On the other hand, for night clouds and night thunderstorms, it is good that the summer vacation starts later ;-)

Halo phenomena covering the sky

Morning halo play from the west side of Pori. 22r + top side and horizon ring, which was momentarily visible in its entirety. At the end, a peculiar color cloud formation with a moment of sunlight, which I first considered a lens reflection.

A rather handsome halo play would illuminate the morning skies of southern Satakunta in Rauma too! The horizon arc was visible almost all the time, part of the time, united all over the sky. Both 120 ° side suns were visible at best at the same time, much of the time separately. The 22 ° ring was mainly visible only above, at the end of the moment also below. For a long time there were also side suns and apparently also a 22 ° upward arc. I didn't identify others myself, but maintenance would probably increase if something was still found. Edit (29.06.2019 22:20): I reprocessed my Image wi...

On a free morning I browsed the sleepy web and thanks to the fb guy came for a nice wake-up call - hugs in and out. Thank you Matti Helin, again! Very bright halos were visible in the sky and across. A nice start to your holiday.

As I waited for the taxi, I looked up at the sky, and there was a handsome halo play going on. I snapped as many pictures on the phone as I could. The iPhone's own panoramas were poor, but remember to get some kind of overall picture by quilting. The play remained the same for the 40 minutes I had time to admire it. My own halo eyes are rusty, so not all shapes that stick to the images may be ticked here.

The morning coffee was interrupted when I noticed a colorful phenomenon in the sky from the window. Cell phone in hand and out to rip pictures. The yard light dome was well suited as a sun filter.

Halo phenomena covering the sky

Friday morning turned out to be quite a halobongar candy day: D Before the nine already nicely bright side suns and horizon rings, and within a very short time then, more began to appear. Parry and Lowitz were along the screen. A suitable cloud flew in the sky, and the horizon ring grew slowly in it, and at the same time a clear 120 ° side sun stood out. Going through the pictures at home, I then caught Wegenerk's eye, even though I didn't smell the product as a visual. If you have to give yourself some bile, then the other side of the sun paid very little attention. It just made the h...

Great halo day. The work hampered monitoring and filming. Despite the search, I did not find any Wegener in the pictures who was left in the wounds at Raisio. Miracle fix if false checkers.

Very nice horizon ring. Parry and lowits had also been seen in the morning, but I couldn't find them in my pictures. At 120 degrees Sauri was interestingly colorful with a polarizing filter. zyk and others appeared at eight o'clock in the morning. There was a couple of hours break in the observation due to work.
