A fireball at night, as bright as a full moon

5.8.2021 at 23.54 - Vesanto (V)
Timo Kuhmonen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Quite a nice looking flight, quite bright yet and fast from Vesanto's cameras. After all, they were found when you wonder out loud :-) Flew between north and northwest, proceeding down to the left in the picture. Probably Perseidi based on direction and location. Watched from the video, the timestamps are: start: 20: 54: 37.9 UTC end: 20: 54: 39.2 UTC

A fireball at night, as bright as a cresent moon

17.4.2021 at 00.18 - Ikaalinen, Sisättö (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

The photo had been caught by a bright fireball in connection with the shooting of the northern lights. It’s a little hard now to tell anything about it when I left the camera to take a picture of the time I actually was having coffee. However, luckily I was left in the picture. 6 second exposure. I checked the camera clock and it was 5 minutes behind. The correct time for fireball is 00.23.

Observation from Vesanto's fireball camera. The fireball was seen in a northerly low, due to being farther away. The duration when checked from the video was 4 seconds, in reality the duration is probably a bit longer. The fireball progresses down to the left in the picture. There are other observations about this same case ...

A fireball in a twilight sky

11.7.2021 at 23.24 - Vantaa (IV)
Mikki Anttila, Mella Jokinen

Bright green, but maybe a changing color. It could have been fireworks, but it was quite different and went in the wrong direction. Another person also saw. I saw it when it appeared in the sky, but it disappeared behind the forest, because I think maybe I saw it behind the trees too.

A fireball in a twilight sky

15.7.2021 at 01.20 - Tampere (IV)
Markku Lintinen, Tampereen Ursa

Summer is already starting to darken and more is starting to show than Sunsets and night clouds. The previous evening ball fired by many was not found in the pictures from Tampere's cameras, but the last one recorded an earthy-looking calm flight of just over 6 seconds. The direction of Saturn, which also came to be observed here for the first time this summer. A little later, Jupiter also became bright in the picture area. Pictures taken from the beginning, middle and end of the flight.

Cameras on a tripod and obisko heating collars around the neck. Settings for frames and shutters for work. Husband still warm to his back to watch if he hit the asses in points. Two sure asses and one sporadic style swing in the sky. Began to dream and had to go to the lands of dreams. Luckily, the cameras aren’t so tiring and the 60D 14mm obiska captured the twilight sky fireball in the morning south which I only noticed once after going through the pictures. I still looked at the havis of others and after seeing Pekka Parviainen's observation, I took another look at the image folder with...

A fireball flying south was recorded in two cameras. Quite a long flight when the start would seem to be left out of the clips.

I left the camera for the night to photograph the northern lights. A pretty bright fireball must have been at dawn. 2 15s exposures. The stunned ball hit just between the two exposures. Frost on the lens. The third image is a combination of the two. Vana looks broken. Information missed between two exposures.

In northern lights, a fireball hits a cell by chance. Almost perpendicular descent from the north line slightly to the northeast. The repo show was really nice and colorful.

A small fireball was recorded in the camera, at the bottom of the image. Unfortunately, the final flight is left behind the eaves of the house. The camera lens is facing south. In another video the same in magnification.
