A fireball at night, brigter than the venus

The long-seen car was recorded in the northern and eastern cameras of Tampere's Ursa. Here is a preliminary image from the video. Unfortunately, every second picture is missing due to technical issues. I will update the pictures as soon as I can build more of them. 22.11.2021 update. Here are a couple more photos that were manually excavated from the video containing the errors one frame at a time. Unfortunately, not everything was saved, but some were. The added images are from the north and east cameras.

The clear evening made it possible to record the dim northern lights in a video camera located at the Ursa observatory in Tampere. The northern lights had several different shapes from the gauze to the active belt. As a small specialty, the lower edge of the arc of northern lights was also unusually bright and wide for a while. The brightest stages took place around 11 p.m. and midnight. Eventually, the clouds increased, obscuring the view of the sky.

A bright car with a duration of about 5 seconds was stored in the northern camera of Ursa in Tampere. I summed up the video from the individual images and made an edited video that can be found at this link (YouTube).

Clear weather allowed distant northern lights to appear. The dim northern lights began to appear on the north-facing video camera at about 11 p.m., but the northern lights actually brightened about half an hour later. The northern lights of the night of 18/19.10.2021 were active and bright at the time of the strongest sub storm, which began at about 00.50 and lasted for about half an hour. Before that, when the evening was dark enough (about 9.45 pm), a dim and calm belt of northern lights appeared in the sky, where dim rays occasionally appeared. Northern lights from cloud crevices and partly through clouds. The G1-class magnetic storm brought with it northern lights, which were also visible in Tampere. However, the cloud cover was relatively strong, so this time we only had to settle for repos visible through cracks and through the clouds. We see the northern lights in the sky lit by the full moon. As the cloud cover receded, the north camera on the observatory recorded a dim arc of northern lights and occasionally associated rays. The bright moonlight brightened the background sky so the contrast remained low. Times are UTC times.

As the cloudiness receded a bit, I managed to find a relatively clear opening in the upper clouds from which I photographed the Sun and its abundant spots. However, the aperture was not entirely clear as a thin upper cloud did appear, however, and it emerged in the post-processing of the image, as everyone will surely notice it in this image. Today’s sunspot count, 124, is relatively high at this time of the sunspot period. A total of 18 aurigids were recorded on Ursa's new weather camera in Tampere on its first night. In addition to these, two sporades were recorded and one aurigid was recorded in the east camera, but it is probably the same as that recorded in the north camera. We’ve switched to using UTC time in camera timestamps because it looks like we won’t be able to get rid of daylight saving time for anything in the very next few years.

The night cloud season in Tampere finally began. A few nights ago there were the first signs of the beginning of the season in the sky, but then they were no longer visible. A significant flare eruption in the Sun was recorded in the photograph yesterday, July 3, 2021. This flare occurred about 7 hours earlier than the attention-grabbing X1.6 (at 17.29), but still in the same active region. Personally, this is one milestone as a sun photographer, because never before have I been able to describe the flare going on and yet just at the maximum moment. During the spring, I have managed to observe the Sun quite often and there has been motivation for it, as comma groups have been visible almost all the time. Most of the observations have, of course, been made from your own yard, as the weather conditions have provided only short moments for making the observations. Again a set of pictures of the Sun. The weather was relatively good although the latter part of the observations went as the clouds dodged. The first image (orange) was taken in broadband visible light. The second and third images are taken in a narrowband (red) at the wavelength of the Hydrogen-alpha line. The quadrilateral image was taken in a cap band (blue-violet) at the wavelength of the Ca-K line.

Sun photography with many devices. On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, the weather conditions were so good that solar imaging with more than one device was possible. Although the weather was not perfect. the end result was reasonable. The main image was taken with an Ikharos telescope, an Astrosolar filter and the camera was Image Source. The image is stacked from five separate shots, each with about 350/100 frames. The second image is 10 still images taken and stacked with Nikon. Figures 3 to 5 were taken with a Lunt H-alpha telescope, the images were also composed of five separate videos as above....

As the sunny days continue, observations of the Sun must be made almost every day, or at least when there is something to describe in the Sun. Today there were really two groups of sunspots.

Although it has been sunny in recent days, the observational climate has not been the best. There hasn’t been very much to describe in the sun either, the prominences have been small and dim and even though I’ve been filming them for a couple of days now, they don’t get any weird observation. Still images can still be taken even though the comma groups are very small and, above all, the commas themselves are almost "spiritless." But stacking the top 10 out of 34 images still brings out something. AR 2814 has been visible for a long time, but the comma group next to it, which is not numbered by...

Growing crescent moon in a starry evening. I had to grab a picture of it, here ten pictures stacked. The purpose of stacking was to remove any image softening caused by strong winds. Well, it was little anyway, so even a single picture would have been worth it. However, the accuracy clearly increased.

Sunspot group AR12806, which disappeared on 6.3. and reappeared the next day, is visible in this image at the bottom right of the Sun. There are developing areas on the left. At this point, it is difficult to say whether commas will develop on them. Active areas will receive an identification number after sufficiently long-lived commas have been detected in them. A pore that has only been visible for a couple of hours may not be enough to get the badge. Four sitll images have been stacked and both contrast and brightness have been adjusted.
