NGC 6842

8.11.2021 at 21.00 - Imatra (II)
Rauno Paivinen, Etelä-Karjalan nova

The constellation of the fox has a planetary nebula NGC 6842 with a size of about 1 arc minute and 14 mag. I put together a HOO version of these with red H-alpha and blue and green OIII. This is an planetary with an interesting shape and quite a lot of detail. The richly stretched negative shows a peculiar hazy part between 8 and 9 p.m., the peculiarity is that it seems to stand out more clearly in the OIII channel. The first is the HOO version Second OIII channel 30x600s, third OIII negative, fourth H-alpha channel 24x600s, Fifth H-alpha negative

Abell 50 NGC 6742

3.10.2021 at 20.30 - 02.00 - Imatra (II)
Rauno Paivinen, Etelä-Karjalan nova

In the constellation of the dragon, right next to the Swan, there is one of the planetary nebulae on the Abell list, Abell 50. The object is also listed on the NGC list under number 6742. The nebula is a little over 30 arcseconds very noticeable from a dark spot with a 20cm tube and an OIII filter. When photographed, both OIII and H-alpha gave an almost similar result. I collected a HOO version of the picture where H-alpha is placed in red and OIII in blue and green color channels. This small object does not seem to have been photographed very diligently, although it is very noticeable and can...

This subject would probably be described less if it didn’t have such a teasing smoothing. The lens galaxy, called Mirach's ghost, was not quite symmetrical. A slight darkening was visible on its left edge.

Of course, the blue snowball was not blue when shooting on the luminance channel alone. It looked very much like it was visually perceptible and can be even more visually interesting.

Saturn's fog remains quite low in Finland but is still descriptive. The protrusions protruding from the edges of the bright spherical center were a little confusingly even star-shaped.

This dichotomous planetary nebula was visible in an incredibly abundant star field, where dark mist also stood out. There are indeed objects of this type in the constellation Kotka no matter how.

This insignificantly sized planetary has much in common with the Lifting Weight Nebula, although the dimmer sides than the center look most diffuse.

7267 The asteroid Mars-Crossing in Victormeen (1943 DF, 1990 FD) was photographed on the first night of the September 2021 work. Finland 100 is the target of our project 201. The asteroid was discovered by Liisi Oterma on February 23, 1943 in Iso-Heikkilä, Turku. The asteroid is named after Victorian geologist Victor Ben Meen (1910-1971). Victor Ben Meen was the first to identify the Pingualuit crater in northern Quebec as a meteor-induced impact structure in 1950. This opened up a whole new direction for exploring the craters struck, for example: Source RESEARCH ARTICLE NOVEMBER 15, 2011 V. T...

The shooting night accommodated another DS object in addition to the open constellation NGC 6709 , and the constellation was the same. This time it was an annoyingly neglected planetary nebula. One edge of the object turned out to be much dimmer than the others. The color scheme was reminiscent of Lyyra's tire mist.
