A day’s view of the sun and an hour-long timelapse picked up a quick eruption lasting about 15 minutes .

I photographed this brightening comet with a Spanish telescope. At its brightest, this should be at the turn of next year. The brightness should then be about mag 8 grades. Unfortunately, this (even) comet is then in the southern sky.

I’ve photographed some of these Milky Way dwarf galaxies and now in the spring I saw a picture of this rather challenging galaxy online. The distance in this dwarf galaxy is about 225,000 light-years. The galaxy is mainly made up of old stars and there is hardly any new star formation there. That’s why it’s so challenging when gas is no longer visible.

I took a slightly longer exposure from the supernova with a Spanish remote tube to get the colors and the galaxy forest captured.

With a small lineup, we gathered at the TaUrsa Tower to watch the encounter. The plateau was so windy that we moved pretty quickly indoors and out the window to wonder. At the time of imaging, Mercury was about 2.5 degrees away Before going to the tower, there was also a roe deer next to the tower for dinner.

After the normal surface image, I examined the protuberances and noticed movement on the western edge, and from there the material erupted into space. In the animation, a period of about an hour.

Morning sun worship. I was at AhlmanEd yesterday for 3 hours on a solar screen and there were so many interested viewers that I got to invest more in solar observation myself.

The intention was already to put the equipment on the summer rolls, but when a couple of days ago there was news of Väisälä's unnamed asteroid , this one too had to try to describe even though the night was starting to be light and the asteroid quite dim. Well somehow it shows and I even got the asterod brightness measured. Brightness mag 16.2 This became the Finnish asteroid I discovered at seventeen. #Suomi100asteroidit

I still had to stretch through to get this pretty bright supernova photographed. The host galaxy is NGC 4647 and the larger ellipse galaxy is M60

There has not been a picture on the Spanish tube since February (due to technical problems). When the moon was quite full, I tested the new sky model and the 10-minute unguided exposures worked quite well again. I tried to search for items from all over the sky and this was selected from the western sky. I have photographed the brightest galaxies a few times with the Ha filter and I doubted this ‘black eye galaxy’ would become any kind of image in this style. I was surprised when the characteristics of the object are visible so well.

In honor of the birthday, a donut coffee was held in Pyynikki. And the bag was in the sky.

The moon is less frequently photographed with a CCD camera intended for the deep sky. Now that too was done when the season is coming to an end.
