The Bz value of the magnetic field plunged into such a deep minus that the expectation was to see more stunning northern lights than usual. At half past nine, the clouds gave up, and there was already that familiar green breeze, but higher than usual in the sky. Active forms came and went, rays and spirals… The opaque gauze rose to zenith, and at 9.22 pm the zenith exploded! Very bright colors - green, purple and white, and the movement was intensely fast. This it was amazing to see! The lively belts were still moving in the sky for at least a good half hour. After midnight, the arc was activa...

The northern lights were hiding behind the clouds in the early evening in seven countries. At eight, the clouds tolerated receding, and a quarter later the arc began to live and lift its calm rays. At half past nine the arc restrained itself to settle down and at times almost disappeared from view. A quarter past nine it brightened and condensed, but a decent sub-storm had not yet begun. After half an hour, two arcs appeared and again a calm radiance. By half past one, the greenery had dimmed to such an extent that I decided to take a tea break. The pause stretched for an hour, but then an int...

At the huts, the sky looked cloudy, so I watched the northern lights from the sky cameras early in the evening. Immediately after nine, a dune revolution appeared at the western end of the diffuse arc in the Tampere camera. At times, the eye could be distinguished from the wave formation directly in the northern direction of the camera view, but the waves seemed wider, which makes perfect sense considering the viewing angle. There were also dunes on the western edge of the Hankasalmi camera - I saw them until 9:30 p.m. At that point, the little birds sang that there are openings in the clouds ...

The northern lights were hiding, but fortunately the frost even featured artificial light pillars on display. The vertical images are from the lights of the Savon Sellu (now apparently Powerflute?) Mills, photographed from Kallansillo. I don't know the cause of the lights from the landscape, but the view became quite a flash to the fairy!

The first substorm was already before nine in the evening, but I didn’t have time to get to the scene yet. At 21.08 I took a picture over the Jännevirta bridge. The bridge is beautifully lit, but I think this time even finer lights were found on the horizon! At half-past ten countries I reached the scene, and I noticed that the dim arc there was always teasing a little intensifying at times (photo at 10:46 p.m.). Half past twelve then began a particularly long-lasting storm. Northern lights formed this time from west to east (photo at 11:30 p.m.). I admired and shot for about 20 minutes until ...

In the evening of eight countries, a dim arc appeared in the northern sky and by 20.40 it was visible bright in the zenith. The most active phase was at 21.14-21.22, the forms mostly in the northern sky and at about 21.16-21.17 also in the zenith and a little south of it.

A meteor or other falling object burned in green. To the naked eye, the light stood out only in white, but the camera also intelligently colored. I noticed a burn for less than a second.

Unfortunately, the visibility was only to the northwest, but luckily there were pretty night clouds in that direction!

The avalanche cloud rolled over in three pieces. The first two of them can be seen with timelapses. With these, mosquito flocks also got a ride! Photographed from 2.02 to 2.13.

There was still something worth reporting in last summer's thunderstorms. Funnel-like rags have been photographed at 18.07 and 18.09.

Tervo seemed to lighten at about one, half past two, and from time to time (after two) there was a very triple avalanche cloud and with it a gust of wind. An hour later, lightning was almost overhead, and by four it had continued to head northeast, but a new cell already seemed to be evolving westward. From the avalanche cloud I will put a match later.

Now there was an awesome cloud development to follow! Possibly the highest cloud I've photographed - according to the radar, it reached at least 14 km. I flash 5-10 pieces like this, but they didn't stop to be shot this time either!

At 11:15 p.m., the sky was dark enough to be able to distinguish a broad arc of northern lights. At 23.42-23.46 the arc brightened and formed a spiral. Then calming down for a few minutes until at 23.52 another show started which was spectacular! The purple bottom creased and ran, drinks and rays formed. The atmosphere was crowned by the howl of a wolf heard from the darkness. Maybe you also enjoyed the lights!
