Several halo forms

21.5.2022 at 15.28 - 15.18 - Helsinki (II)
Pentti Arpalahti

22r first stood out only as an arc resembling a delicate cloud-skinned clear sky. Within minutes, colors appeared on the arc, and in about half an hour it faded away.

Primary rainbow

The very juicy head of the main rainbow glowed for a moment. There was interference. Because of the clouds, the red edge of the bright part looked fun bulging.

A pretty evening halo was visible for a quarter. The little cloud of color also wanted to be included in the picture.

For a moment there was a slightly more ornate layout at 22r.

There were several bright nights in a row, but even weak repos couldn’t be caught, even though the Z component dropped promisingly. In the end, you ripped. In the first picture, there was a swirl of smoke, which I zoomed into the second picture, perhaps left by the wind. Even a few rays flickered funny at the street lamp. There are additional reddish reflections on the left side of the left street lamp.

The actual storm was left behind the clouds the night before, and I tried to capture the remnants of the eruption by taking a few pictures whenever Nurmijärvi's z-value dropped. Half past one of the lonely dim dimmer rays then flashed north. The second image ten minutes later is a reference to the fact that, at least not all the time, some floodlight was slamming into the sky.

Matte of course but southern repos anyway. The air was clear and probably thanks to a warm day, the smoke from the district heating did not clutter the view.

At first, only a clip from the dichotomy and a small color spot at Sauri stood out (Fig. 2). 22 then clarified and sharpened (Fig. 1). There was a very weak spot on the four-weave, which was more clearly seen in the haze (Fig. 3).

Northern Lights Bong is a second game. When the Z-component fell in Nurmijärvi, I took pictures every few minutes. Only in the first box a dim ray stood out and in the second box something even weaker and then nothing more. For safety, I checked the northern camera in Tampere and there were clear rays 18:47:57 UTC. My camera's timestamp is 21:48:11 daylight saving time. The clock on my camera is 13 seconds ahead, so the first beam should probably be the same as in Tampere, whose camera is probably on time. The shutter speed of my camera was 3 s. Edit. Nurmijärvi Z fell more gently between ...

Diffuse glow

The storm was promised. There was no spectacle in Helsinki. There’s apparently a couple of minutes of repo greening in the two images, which is no longer in the triangular image. The blur correlates positively with the Nurmijärvi magnetometer. (timestamps of images in winter time)

The long-running 22 r squashed in the sky. There was no hint of anything special in the manual stack of the five pictures either. The indefinite arc above 22r is an artifact demo. Edit. The artifact was replaced by real halos around the afternoon of the afternoon. BR got a very dim four-weave piece. Edit 2. Is the arc in Figure 2 an artifact or a real halo phenomenon? The artifact (?) Occurs only in part of the data of the same stock. As the last image, careful editing of a single image ...... Edit3. Editing with another program does not reveal an artifact that appears to be due to the LR6’s e...

Aurora rays

Storms in the south coast sky. The first observation period was 19:42 to 20:48. There was also activity from 22:56 to 0:14. The storm reached 1:56 and raged until 2:12. The brightest parts of the storm period were in the northwest, with the redness of the lower parts separating from the photographs. In my own pictures, the dim line at 20:39 and 20:40 was weak in the west at Aries. In Muurame's observation, the 20:39 line was interpreted as steve. A wide reddish band running over the screens is a cloud stained with light pollution.

After ten o'clock in Nurmijärvi there was a Z-dip and before 11 pm something started to separate from the pictures and then the performance just went on and on. All the while, the sky was delicately green by tens of degrees. Based on the Tampere camera, real estate agents could trade northern balconies with excellent northern lights. Before one after midnight, the flashes of the rays separated my eyes as well. There also seem to be some reddish spots. Edit. Images require intense processing. There are unnecessary extra sources of interference light outside the field of view. The red spots ...

Lake Nurmijärvi knocked a tight zigzag with a wide puncture and the oval glowed red, but the silence is a show on the south coast. The weather was pretty clear, too. But anyway - every green beach is worth noticing. Edit. Well, there was no silence. The angle of view of the lens was not enough at all. The first performance was 19:35 - 19:41, of which I left only Figure 5. The actual stage was 21:28 - 21:43. The red shown in the pictures is certainly northern lights red and not light pollution.
