3122 Florence

12.9.2017 at 00.09 - 03.12 - Varkaus, Härkämäki (III)
Ville Puoskari, Veli-Pekka Hentunen, Warkauden Kassiopeia

Florence asteroid light curve photographed from Härkämäki. Also included is exactly one hour of asteroid motion in the sky (01.00 - 02.00) combined into a maximum stack. The cloud board broke that light curve for a moment, luckily no more of them came up, even though every now and then something haunted something on the horizon. Eventually, the filming ended with fog and clouds rising to Härkämäki in an instant. VP Hentunen treated the data as a light curve, my own programs did not make any sense from a fast-moving object.

The target arrived from the direction of the constellation of Perseus and left a tread about 30 degrees long before the explosion. There was still a large cloud of smoke in the sky for about 25 minutes. In the pictures taken by Ursa from Mikkeli, the same fireball can be seen in the north direction, behind Otava! The target has p...
