NGC6992

7.10.2016 at 23.00 - Lohja (II)
Lars Nylund, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

A couple of weeks ago, in the clear and dry air, the brightest part of the gauze fog was shot in 2.5 hours. There was an effort for five hours, but the neighbor’s pines got in the way.

M42

6.10.2016 at 02.45 - Lohja (IV)
Lars Nylund, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Once again an exceptionally bright and dry autumn night. Orion finally rose over the bushes on the terrace, and I was able to take one 5-minute picture (ISO 800) before Orion moved behind a pine tree next door. I'm just a beginner, but I'm already happy with that. There has been a lot to learn.

NGC 7000

3.10.2016 at 23.00 - Lohja (III)
Lars Nylund, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

The North American fog area has been described here for 150 min. Two images processed from the same material. In the first image, the brightest area of the NGC 7000 is highlighted. The second faint image also shows Pelican Mist. The first picture has flashy “Caramel Colors,” but more detail, and that blue-purple mist is more visible. In this column, you rarely see comments about the “right” way to process images. Is there the right way? Frequencies corresponding to colors have been collected and can be highlighted in different ways. Beginner's nuts ....

IC 1805 ja IC 1848

28.8.2016 at 00.41 - Lohja (III)
Lars Nylund, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

The sunny day and the strong wind swept moisture away from the air, so the night was the best filming. The fogs of souls and hearts are reasonably visible below. At least as a beginner, I am quite happy with this.

M31

30.4.2016 at 01.00 - 02.00 - Lohja (II)
Lars Nylund, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

This galaxy of Andromeda (M31) is certainly familiar on this site. However, it had to be published now, when it is the first even somehow successful picture of a deep sky object in a beginner. An interesting and challenging hobby; lots of new things to learn for such a retiree!
