Milky way

11.9.2021 at 22.31 - Rovaniemi (III)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Even though I was in the Rovaniemi Urban Area, it was dark enough for the Milky Way on the banks of the Kemijoki River. Something stood out even to the naked eye and already 20 seconds of exposure brought out the mists.

Several bright halo forms

10.9.2021 at 18.40 - 18.45 - Rovaniemi (III)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

The clouds featured a momentarily bright piece of 22-degree tire, a comfortably v-shaped overhanging arch, and a side sun on the left. With the exception of the side sun, the halos were visible for five minutes. Picture directly from a cell phone.

Partial solar eclipse

10.6.2021 at 12.50 - 15.10 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

I focused on watching the eclipse through a telescope with a Herschel wedge, so there were only a few pictures. Figure 1: The beginning of the eclipse Figure 2: immediately after the deepest phase Figure 3: Last moments of eclipse 4. Sunspots and granulation after the deepest phase.

Several halo forms

11.4.2021 at 16.13 - Turku, Kupittaa (II)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

22 degree ring and top sidewall for Haloh April opening. Maybe this will get better. Picture directly from a cell phone.

Several halo forms

31.3.2021 at 18.19 - Kaarina, Ravattula (II)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Fine basic fade, 22 degree ring, overhanging arch and a hint of left side sun. The damage did not hit the April side. Picture directly from a cell phone.

Mars ja Plejadit

3.3.2021 at 22.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (III)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

At the end of the evening, it brightened up and I quickly went to see the encounter between Mars and the Pleiades. On a short telescope, a picture in memory.

One halo form

3.2.2021 at 11.16 - Kaarina, Ravattula (I)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Even today, no more than the usual 22-degree arc.

One halo form

2.2.2021 at 11.38 - Kaarina, Ravattula (I)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Basic hall, 22 degree ring. Stretching the cell phone image in Photoshop did not change the situation.

Sinus Iridum

23.1.2021 at 19.50 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Clear when it was, I tested the equipment and at the same time peeked at the moon. The "Golden Handle" is nicely displayed in a single shot

Pilvikaari maanpinnalta

17.1.2021 at 11.59 - 12.53 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Cloud arch on a ski trip in the Aura River Valley near Haliste. Was in the sky at noon and still returning after an hour. I liked the fog arc according to the first pictures, but it was a cloud arc. Pictures on a cell phone.

Jupiter ja Saturnus

24.12.2020 at 16.45 - 00.00 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Just before the Christmas Mugs were warmed up, the southern skyline brightened and the Christmas feast had to wait as long as the encounter between Jupiter and Saturn was recorded. The best moment on Monday passed, but this one still came. Image 1 Unlimited image with a 200mm lens Figure 2. 100% body planets

Mars

3.11.2020 at 20.10 - 20.20 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Last close-ups of Maris in this batch. The tube is a 107mm lens tube with double barlow and the camera is a mirrorless SLR camera Canon M1. Slightly more is visible in the images than visually. This time the visual observation was really good or else have learned to look.

Kuu ja Mars

29.10.2020 at 23.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

A hand-grabbed observation of the encounter between the moon and Mars. The clouds bothered, but momentarily framed the celestial bodies handsomely.

Mars

14.10.2020 at 21.40 - 21.50 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Mars description at the time of the opposition. The tube is a 107mm lens tube with a double barlow and the camera is a mirrorless SLR camera Canon M1. Slightly more is visible in the images than visually. Unnecessary sharpening this time.

Mars

11.10.2020 at 21.35 - 21.50 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Mars description again. The tube is a 107mm lens tube with a double barlow and the camera is a mirrorless SLR camera Canon M1. Slightly more is visible in the images than visually.

Mars

30.9.2020 at 21.45 - 22.15 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Mars shaking pictures, the results are in line with it. The tube is a 107mm lens tube with a double barlow (Baader + Celestron) and the camera is a mirrorless SLR camera Canon M1. Slightly more is visible in the images than visually.

Mars

14.9.2020 at 21.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

I went to inspect the brightened Mars and at the same time practiced shooting, even though in the early evening the planet was still very low. Slightly more is visible in the images than visually. Visual observations were greatly aided by an adjustable polarizing filter that moderated the brightness of Mars

Clearly visible night shining clouds

1.8.2020 at 02.15 - 02.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (III)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

When we returned home at night, the northeastern sky had a smaller but nicely bright night cloud deposit. Pictures on a cell phone

Bright night shining clouds

18.7.2020 at 00.30 - 01.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (IV)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

This time, in addition to the comet hunt, I understood to be prepared with lenses suitable for night clouds. Worth it when they were there again. Pretty handsome all over the northern sky. 1. a two-pane panorama at the beginning of the observations 2-3. details at the beginning of the observations over a long focal length 4. Wide angle view at the end of the observations

Binocular comet NEOWISE

18.7.2020 at 00.30 - 01.30 - Kaarina, Ravattula (III)
Matti Tainio, Porin Karhunvartijat

Neowise observations of the illumination of night clouds. Slightly more modest than a week earlier. Visually, the telescope is very similar to the single image. Stacking 6 images revealed a little more tail. Image 1: Stacked 6 images with a 200mm lens Figure 2. crease in the middle of the same image
