Friday night’s fireball became an observation for two surveillance cameras capturing the sky. One is in the Ursa Observatory in Tampere and the other in Kangasala. Observation report in Radiant: http://radiantti.blogspot.de/2017/12/tulipallo-tallentui-kameraan.html Video clip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c8ktkuuur6xs30q/NVRmini-ProBullet-2A62+294_20171223-102316_1_10.avi?dl=0

Thanks for the tip - with the help of Samuli Ikäheimo's great fireball video (no. 71560) I found the same fireball in the picture of Yönsilmä in the Tower of Tampere. The left edge of the image is approximately 310 degrees and the right edge is 30 degrees.

A night balloon in the brightness class of Venus recorded by the Night Eye camera on Ursa's observatory in Tampere. The bright star shown in the picture is Capella, so the brightness rating may be a bit overestimated. That night, a couple of meteors were recorded on the same camera. I also joined them, although they are not the same event.

Based on other observations, a fireball was searched for in the Night Eye video. Judging from the star map, it went out in direction 007, at an altitude of 13 degrees from the horizon. Lake Näsijärvi begins to open from the western edge.

Among other things, the fireball reported in Zenith in Tornio was found in the video of the Night Eye in the Kauppi tower. The picture shows a reflection from Lake Näsijärvi just before the fireball went out. Last night, the shooting settings had been changed from the previous 1 / 3s to 1/25 s while WDR was activated. This helped the brightness of the northern sky, although it increased the noise. Kari Kuure edited the video recording and published the observation in Radiant: http://radiantti.blogspot.fi/2018/05/tulipallo-jalleen.html

Found in the night eye record based on Korsholm's observation. The stars on the right side of the fireball are Gamma and Beta Ursae Majoris. At the same time, to the north, there were super-bright night clouds.

There are a couple of other observations from this that I search for in the Night Eye recording. There was a handsome northern lights background almost all evening. Video of almost 5s flight: https://www.dropbox.com/s/551bu290xv7qsca/fireball-1fps.mov?dl=0

Based on the observation of Konnevesi 80555, searched from the Yönsilmä record of the Kauppi tower. With the timing specified by this observation, Kangasala's camera was already found between the tree branches. Edit: When editing, changing the order of the images removed them from posting.

Savonlinna observation no. Based on 84531, the first fireball sighting of Kauppi's new Eastern Night Eye was found. The camera was launched at this location about a couple of weeks ago. Almost real-time image samples of night eyes are now also available to the public: https://www.ursa.fi/yhd/tampereenursa/ They can be used to check, for example, the situation of illuminating night clouds.
