The bright moon diluted the visibility of the northern lights. The northern lights reached as far as the zenith. A strong eruption was in the sun. It was already thought there was a STEVE arc. The jet, clearly visible to the naked eye, baffled us. The camera image then later revealed the truth. More could be known tomorrow night.
