I tried to bonga throughout the day with halos between the lower clouds visible from the cloudy sky, but I couldn’t see anything until at 4pm when the 22 degree ring flickered between the clouds.

When I left for work, I bongos the upper cloud, but the halos were by no means clear. On Kotikatu, the ring was still visible as diffuse brightness in the clouds. When I got to the fight, I got a picture, but it is already more difficult, but possible, to separate the brightness from it.

On Monday morning, an almost full 22-degree ring was visible. With the naked eye, nothing else was visible, but the photo below shows a clear ring at about four degrees. Is it an optical error made by the camera (Samsung XCover 2 mobile phone) or something real? Personally, I didn’t even try to look around close to the sun.

The day was too cloudy for the halos, but in the evening when I returned from work behind a rather thick cloud, a 22 ° ring clouded in intermittent diffusions, a slightly overshoot-like brightness, and again an arc of the zenith environment. Separating the ring from the middle image is quite tricky. A special day when two ZYKs appeared (cf. morning ). Again, ZYK was pretty weak.

A small piece of two-seconds, reasonably colorful .. Note the electrical safety of the lamp that acts as a cover :)

I was on my way again in the morning and in Ullanlinna I thought I had a hint of the zenith environment arc. I wasn’t quite sure about my visual observations, but I photographed and the image later revealed this observation to be true as well. Of course, the visual observation was already confirmed in Hakaniemi, where ZYK was clear, although not clear.

Dull 22r and cough and an even dimmer 46 degree overhanging arc. However, it stood out clearly in the mirror.

As I walked from the bus on the way to work, I saw a surprisingly handsome and colorful arc of the zenith environment in the sky and the gaze moving around the sky, it was obvious that there was a more moderately handsome halo show going anyway. So as a compromise between going to a waiting phone conference between rushing and shooting to march to work, I stopped twice to take a set of pictures in case I finally got to try HaloStack using them. The first shot is from the former Nokia / current Jolla and Supercell, the latter near the beginning of the Baltic Sea Street.

The thickness of the cloud curtain has varied throughout the day, a faint halo was still visible before it went properly into the cloud and rained a few snowflakes.

Sun Morning Sun Pillar. In my pajamas I pinched by the Village Road to find even some kind of opening at the forest boundary and to see even the top of the pillar. It was a little late for the best pillar phase. The air was calm, -2 degrees below zero. Happy May Day to all the sky watchers!
