After all, this newly named asteroid had to be described as (6073) 1939 UB The Star Society here cools its orbit. In the low shallow southern sky in the constellation of Libra, it still stands out at dawn in the morning. During the hour-long exposure, it moved for about an arc of minutes and stands out as a streak in the pint image and a clear motion in the 60x60s animation.

The JWST James Webb Space Telescope is currently stationary at the L2 point, aligning its mirrors, and its apparent motion relative to the stars is distinguished in this animation exposed for 30x90s = 45 minutes. The apparent motion of the JWST with respect to the stars is mainly due to the annual orbit of the Earth (= observer) L2 point in its orbit around the sun, the daily rotation of the Earth (= observer) and the motion of the JWST around the L2 point. Telescopic comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko

The comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko is still visible with a nice long tail. In this bright 72% lunar light, the comet was captured with 15 minutes of exposure with a Clear filter. The inverted image no longer distinguishes the dust trail / dust trail seen in front of the comet in previous observations. Pictured in the lower left corner is the galaxy PGC 23643 mag15.81.

On January 24, 2022 at 21:00 Finnish time, JWST parked the L2 points slowly. The motion of the JWST is shown in the animation below (24x60s = 24 minutes) and in the center of the stacked image (15x60s). During the 15-minute exposures, the JWST moved for 20 arcseconds. Even a few clouds and snowflakes went over the field of view during the exposures, dimming the image. It is already dim, the brightness of the JWST measured from the image is mag 17.34.

The pressure wave of the volcanic eruption in Tonga is shown in the graph of the pressure gauge of the Artjärvi Viestikallio (60.73N, 26.21E) weather station. The first pressure wave reached Viestikallio weather station on January 15, 2022, maximizing at about 20:13 EET / 18:13 UTC, and the second inverse-looking pressure wave on January 16, 2022 at about 04:55 EET / 02:55 UTC. #TongaVolcano . Comet C / 2021 A1 (Leonard) is relatively close to Earth at 0.42 AU and moves very fast relative to the stars. The attached 15x30s = 7.5min exposed L / Clear filter images show only a portion (less than 1 °) of the comet's long tail, which consists of several rapidly changing fan-shaped structures. I tried to make the comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko dust dust / dust trail more clearly visible with a longer exposure time of 30 minutes than with a 5-minute exposure taken two days earlier https://www.taivaanvahti.fi/observations/show/102096 . The comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko shows both the normal tail and the interesting dust trail in front of the comet in the negative images below. The dust trail has comet particles about 0.1 mm to 1 cm in size left by the comet in previous rounds. In the comet 29P / Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 there is a superburst going mag17 => mag11. It looks a bit like the recent comet 17P / Holmes eruption but in mini size due to the 29P / SW 1 distance. The discharge contains at least CO gas which appears bluish. The figure below also shows one jet 45 "in length PA 270 °. Comet C/2021 A2 (NEOWISE) is now much dimmer than I last observed it at February 16th. In this 115min exposure using 387nm narrowband filter cyanogen CN 3883Å radical gas coma diameter is 0,6'/40.000km and wide fan-shaped cyanogen gas tail length 1'/60.000km towards PA 330° is visible. Comet current distance from sun is 1,62au and from earth 1,43au. I took also R channel photometric image and although the image had poor S/N I measured comet R channel brightness as 16,3mag. CN channel brightness measurement is difficult because lack of 3883Å reference stars, not very scientific but when using B...

Comet C/2021 A2 (NEOWISE) cyanogen CN radical gas coma diameter 1,7'/50000km and wide fan-shaped cyanogen gas tail length 3,4'/100000km towards PA 10° is visible in this 3870Å narrowband filter image.
