During Cygnus, we observed a night cloud play with Linda Laakso and Veikko Mäkelä the night before Friday and Saturday. The play extended at its best from eastern sky to western, and the upper edge of the night cloud area in the southern sky at its best was about 145 degrees. The play was dominated by belts and swirls, although a considerable portion of the night cloud area was a vague gauze. Then let the first repos of the season be noticed at your point! At the very beginning of the active belts, with the tops of the shapes red and fairly fast movement. At this point, the repos covered well over half of the sky. The northern sky in the rest of my observation showed a dull northern lights gauze or a wide, diffuse arc of northern lights, which occasionally periodically ignited a few rays, many of which were reddish in color.

The first clear night tooooo your long time! And this time, too, the clarification was only temporary. I went to the yard to see if there was anything in the sky, and that's how it was! The sky was mostly clear, and the stars could be seen quite nicely. The darkness of the background sky was just pretty bad, mainly due to the northern lights blazing in the northern sky sector (but also elsewhere), which were mainly gauze-type and patches.

A dim, radiant northern lights belt appeared on the low northern horizon at eight in the evening. At the same time, a very dim northern light gauze was also visible in the sky. The low belt lived a fairly steady life for a while, but then just before nine the belt came to life very properly for a moment, and it was accompanied by bright rays, which, however, soon faded. Indeed, the clouds covered the sky soon after this stage. Figures 1-3 of the best stage, Figure 4 of the initial stage, when a dim, radial belt was visible right on the northern horizon. EDIT: I originally thought the redness i...

When I arrived at the observation site in the northern sky, a quiet arc of northern lights was visible, which, however, soon turned into an active belt. In the beginning, a really intense red "torch" appeared for a moment at the western end of the belt, which moved and lived its time and then faded away. Rays appeared in the belt, and the belt branched / split into several parts that moved relatively fast. With the naked eye, I didn’t distinguish colors in the northern lights, but green and red came out well in the photos. Freezing - 21C

The 22 ° ring seen in the morning was accompanied by a 22 ° overhanging arc during the day, which was visible as brightening at the right point of the 22 ° arc.

The 22 ° ring and 22 ° lateral arcs visited the sky of Seven National Park today. The 22 ° basin arch was just above the tops of the trees, and I couldn’t get it properly photographed.

A 22 ° overhanging arc and a 22 ° ring appeared in the sky of Seven National Park. As the overhead appeared in the sky, a pollen circle was still visible, and the two phenomena appeared in the sky for a moment simultaneously.

In honor of the Midsummer Eve, a (non-uniform) 22 ° ring appeared in the sky of Seitseminen National Park. At the same time, stylish cirrus were also visible in the sky, which is a must to put one picture here as a model!

At noon, a pretty 22 ° overhanging arc and a 22 ° ring appeared in the sky of Seitseminen National Park. At one time, the cirrostratus gauze was quite flat, and the top side had lit up with great colors and I had hopes for even a finer haloshow, but no rarities appeared at any point. At two times, a 22 ° basin arch also appeared. The side arches dominated the play sovereignly, the 22 ° ring was quite dull. At dusk, the lower clouds receded from the sky of the Seven, and a fibrous and uneven cirrostratus gauze covered the sky. Judging by the unevenness, the crystal cloud was not quite the best in terms of halos, but I stayed to observe the situation for safety. Soon cirrostratis developed as if a weak basic halo play developed! The play featured a 22 ° ring, a (left) side sun, a 22 ° overhanging arc, and a very dim ZYK that came out when you were really snarling the picture with us. There were no definite indications of a 46 ° ring like the one seen in Turku before.

The 22 ° ring was visible in the Seven Heavens. At the same time, I tested my new sunscreen, and found that it does work well enough. Nothing very aesthetic, but there isn't really any art to be done here right now. You probably have to buy a fishing rod, and attach that blanket to it.
