Based on the nasal congestion index, birch works ... Even the eyes turn red with racing.

It’s nice when the number of sightings increases, even though pollen is so annoying to some.

My previous attempt to photograph a pollen ring today had produced a waterbed, and the picture only showed a plain ring. This time I first tried to use a wide street sign as a sun visor, and I made a series of concentric tires stand out in the picture. On the other hand, a less desirable diffraction phenomenon also appeared in the image. My other shooting attempt was more straightforward, and in fact it made the perimeter even more distinct. With the naked eye I couldn’t tell anything even the sunglasses away.

Yesterday, when photographing the halos, I covered the sun with my index finger, and looking closer at the sun, it seemed that there had been some oval circle. However, I didn't get it out of the picture. No halos were visible today, but the pollen circle was pretty clear.

I was watching the birds and noticed that there is quite a colorful and bright perimeter around the Sun against the blue sky. Judging by the number of birch bark, the cause can be found on that side. I also saw a lemongrass and a little tern.

Coming from the store, I noticed the overcast clouds echoing and the sun shining from the clear sky. A triple birch pollen was visible near the sun. When I got back to the backyard, I photographed.

The halos disappeared and were replaced by something more handsome - a pollen ring! I hurriedly tried to shoot on my cell phone. It is difficult to describe pollen rings. (See Figure 2.) I separated the triple perimeter with the naked eye. You can get a better picture of the spectacle of the play, for example, from Veikko's observation . Edit. I added a cropped and fairly processed image.

Pollen corona

Veikko Mäkelä, Ursa (Helsinki)

I first bongas the faint halo below the Sun, but then I happened to glance near the Sun and a spectacular bright pollen circle was visible. These had already been expected in Helsinki; there have been quite clear weather for many days, but nothing suggesting sp-frames has been seen. Visually, the sunglasses showed a triple perimeter, and one could imagine a fourth zone in the photograph in faintly misunderstood versions. Information: 3x perimeter birth: Birch pollen colors: vaKOP-SVKOP-SKP (-V) brightness: 5-3-1 (scale 1-5, 5: brightest) vertical radius: ~ 0.75 ° + 0.75 ° + 0.75 °
