The timelapse of the night was mainly one of the turbulence of the clouds. However, a small more open section was found and there was a bit of greenery on the horizon. The video has two different views. First the OsmoAction 1 all-sky fisheye with its beak and then the OsmoAction 3 looking north as an organic. There is quite a difference in the image fields. On the old Osmo, ISO 3200 and exposures 7s. In the newer ISO 6400 and 4s. When there's a decent storm again, we'll get back together like this as a duo. The video is compressed in 720p to fit here.

Again there was a colorful Corona and a lot of movement - there behind the clouds, but the middle sky was open for a while.

With a small core group of the association, we were observing the sky on Tuesday evening. With the telescope we looked at e.g. Jupiter and Saturn. Well, I took pictures in the darkening evening towards the north. At 21:00 the camera found the first green, but it wasn't until sometime around 21:40 that something distinguishable by the eye appeared in the sky. It seemed that the fires at the observation site started to fade, and when the guys left, I didn't want to stay there for long. At 10:30 p.m., I gave up and went to drive away from the forest. Well. I almost made it home when I not...

On Sunday evening, I had photographed the moon passing very low among the clouds, and after that I set the alarm for Monday morning around four o'clock. My purpose was to photograph the rise of Mercury above Lohja. About the aurora borealis during the day, I had considered in passing that there shouldn't have been anything bigger. However, around 5:15 a.m. while crossing the Liessaari bridge, I forgot the morning planets for a while, because the impressive aurora borealis blazed above the bridge! Unfortunately, only a couple of longer lenses were included. Fortunately, the iPhone mount...

I managed to photograph the spectacular and pink aurora borealis. The picture is unedited, so it really looked like this.

An hour of the morning was spent looking at the sky, even with the naked eye I could see the aurora borealis high in the northern sky where there was almost no change, it only dimmed when the clock approached four o'clock.

The readings jumped out and I had to take a picture from the window with a cell phone just in case (also with a camera but no longer on a PC at this time). Relatively foggy but very nice reposes.

The aurora borealis blazed across the sky and my attention was caught by the particularly colorful Korona near Kassiopeia in the middle sky. It was necessary to act quickly, because soon a cloud of fog would cover the sky. The camera settings weren't quite right for the northern lights, but I managed to capture something. The colors were so-called in the pin.

I happened to look at the interference curves at night and immediately set the camera to continuous shooting for 3 hours. The northern lights were perhaps not very strong, but the gauzy, sometimes the rays, remained there the whole time and also moved. The best stages were between two and five o'clock. The attached timelapse is a compilation of approx. 180 frames, i.e. the aurora borealis was recorded in every single image. The purple color is also visible in the pictures taken shortly before 5 o'clock.

A night that blows your mind. I have never seen such colors! Shortly before five o'clock in the morning, the sky exploded with rainbow colors. The entire giant eruption from five o'clock lasted only ten minutes. Attached are also a couple of pictures taken earlier in the night. It took some time to go through all these pictures. Here you can see colors that I have not seen in the northern lights before, such as yellow. The pink could be seen very well with the naked eye. The top shows of the decade, if not the millennium. Eight pictures are not enough for this.

I'm now uploading my own compilation videos from Bear Camera (cam14 - southwest camera, and cam12 - northeast camera). In them, my attention was mainly drawn to the fact that the aurora borealis are like bisected in the direction of the south and north poles. The fires in the southern half are moving significantly more actively (on the left side in the 1st video), there is initially a clear gap between them, while from the north side, a uniformly thick band rolls towards the south. A similar impression seems to be repeated in the 2nd video as well, where the south is on the right side of t...

At first, only a wide and diffuse arc was visible for a very long time, but then before two it flared up properly. This time I had to settle for shooting from the balcony because the car was in the repair shop. I have never photographed such a wide and bright scene from a balcony before. A 12-second timelapse (191 images) is a considerably sped-up clip from an hour. You can see how the arc develops slowly at first and finally the sky bursts into flames. The east side is in darkness from my balcony, but yes, there was enough to admire in this show of the west side this time.

It was a wonderful and surprising experience :) At 23:30 I went outside to watch the northern lights. I was satisfied already at the point when I saw bright and darker green fires from the cloud gaps. The clouds started to disappear and the green aurora borealis brightened almost white at times. Belts and beams were visible. The situation just continued and continued. Then the lights already rose overhead. It was difficult to photograph the neck in the keno. I went inside a quarter past one. Fortunately, I continued to watch from the balcony. Colorful rays could be seen in the southern sky. I ...

There were again opportunities for the northern lights and we came equipped with cameras, curlers and a bit of a north window. A little after midnight, you could see green in the north, a little more on the cell phone. I landed. When I got to the shooting location, it still looked pretty modest, I was already wondering if I would end up as a cobbler. My first job was to take a panorama (picture 1, 1.29-1.32) and a few pictures also in other directions with a fairer exposure in case of dim rarities. They were not found. The arc seemed to activate, so I switched to a circle fisheye and waited to...

I noticed in the yard after midnight that a green streak is visible on the horizon. I filled in over Viikki's fields to a slightly better place to shoot, and slowly the aurora borealis rose above half the sky. The most visible episode was at two o'clock.

At first, dim gauzes on the north side. I could see a bit of red and green with my bare eyes. Then the aurora borealis started to slowly spread over. Later, before 02:00, the so-called blast from the east across the firmament to the west. Strong colors of white, green, red and purple to the naked eye, especially in the corona. There is still color in the southeast with the naked eye. A short fireball seen at the end. In the north, all the time, a steady green haze, nothing else.

The northern lights started to appear around midnight in a lively arc, the size of which was 100X10 in degrees. soon there were also rays and red, and the arch began to curl like a curtain. I left the camera to record and still in the morning at 05:47 the last dim rain was visible in the light sky. There was a burst of colors between one and two, and there were enough for four. The last two photos are from the beginning of the play with a cell phone.
