I noticed a light phenomenon high above my head while in the backyard at about 11:06 p.m. For example, it moved significantly faster than an airplane, but still much slower than a stellar flight. The light phenomenon was bright, and was followed by "van". As it approached the horizon, it formed a "bubble" or "mushroom" area around it, while losing some of its brightness. However, it did not disintegrate or go out until it sank into the horizon. The light phenomenon disappeared into the invisible northern horizon.
