Clearly visible night shining clouds

7.7.2018 at 23.00 - 05.03 - Nurmijärvi (III)
Olli Hintikka

At eleven o'clock I walked in the yard and knew that the night clouds could be visible as a cloudless night was coming, however a glance at the sky revealed that the show had already begun! Suddenly bring the camera and look to a standard location. The first Nights on myself that extend almost to the entire deck of heaven. The images were heavily processed to highlight the phenomenon and especially the forms on the opposite side of the sun.

Other special clouds

5.3.2018 at 18.00 - Nurmijärvi (IV)
Olli Hintikka

Most likely, the planes crashed through that cloud mass and caused doubling holes in the clouds. I have never spotted two clouds of holes at the same time, hence the observation of it here again. Cell phone rap.

Reflected sunbeams

9.7.2017 at 20.30 - Riihimäki (II)
Olli Hintikka

A quick flicker from the reflected cloud rays in Riihimäki. A closer examination of the radius route with TPE gives Kesijärvi as a reflection surface, time exactly 15 km from the observation site.

My first pearl brown spot, a quick cell phone rap at the start of the work day.

Aurora rays

26.10.2016 at 20.40 - Helsinki (II)
Olli Hintikka

The opening of the northern lights season. One small twinkle and greenery. Helsinki Taivaskallio, found to be good.

Rare halos

22.6.2016 at 18.45 - Nurmijärvi (IV)

At first Visry was visually visible with a delicate zyk and 20min later a 120 degree sage began to appear as the zyk brightened. I'm updating the pictures and stacks to the side. Figures 2 and 3: The stack of 16 figures looks distracted and with Br parry, but there is also a suspicion of a 9 degree ring. Figure 4: In a stack of 74 images, 9r rises, and in addition to the 22r, Lowitz-like arcs appear around the areas of the side suns, could there be?

Bishop's ring

28.3.2016 at 13.10 - Nurmijärvi (I)
Olli Hintikka

The air today has somehow had a smoky feel and the sky looks lighter than usual. A hint of Bishop’s ring can be seen in the stack of 38 images but no clear case. Let the experts make sure. Edit at 1:29 PM: Added still image.

Several halo forms

23.3.2016 at 10.45 - Nurmijärvi (II)
Olli Hintikka

Thick cloud cloud over the entire width of the sky. Compared to the other pictures on guard, the best blade in this play had already had time to fade when I had time to shoot, there were so many pale shapes.

Sumukaari keinovalossa

29.2.2016 at 23.30 - Nurmijärvi (II)
Olli Hintikka

-10 degree frost on the night of the escape day, a fog arc observed with the car’s long headlights.

Several halo forms

28.2.2016 at 15.20 - Nurmijärvi (II)
Olli Hintikka

Stacking practice and learning Halostack continues with a stack of 40 pictures. Spring is clearly making its arrival, now a couple of days have already appeared in the upper cloud of the basic tires. This spring should also tire of a tripod-mounted blocker.

Rare halos

17.2.2016 at 21.20 - Nurmijärvi (IV)
Olli Hintikka

In the aftermath of an amateur-like error (with empty batteries at the shooting location), a 9r was found in the wet stack of 20 images with BR processing. Apparently 22r was thin and there was a small glow around the moon. Edit: Added one image from a new stack of 23 images with an increased brightness and a glow between 9r and 20r but 9r disappears. Quiet aurora arc

20.1.2016 at 21.01 - Nurmijärvi (II)
Olli Hintikka

I suddenly picked up from Auroras Now's gauges that northern lights could be on offer and adjusted to the nearby field to shoot. In some places, however, even bright areas do not separate individual rays. Towards the end, the (snow) couch rolled over the northern lights and the arch faded. In any case, the snow front was a great addition to the northern lights.

Several halo forms

8.1.2016 at 14.33 - Nurmijärvi (II)
Olli Hintikka

I noticed a weak side sun and because of exercise I made a stack of it. Especially since Schultess has seen a lot in the next few days. Personally, however, I do not outline it from this stack of 110 images. However, would the length of the side sun support the existence of Schultess?

Several halo forms

29.12.2015 at 21.17 - Hyvinkää (II)
Olli Hintikka

The snowfall at the Swiss ski resort in Hyvinkää caused both the rising moon and the artificial light to have their own overhang.

Kuun kehä

28.12.2015 at 22.07 - Nurmijärvi (IV)
Olli Hintikka

When the landscapes were taken, a handsome perimeter developed into the moon. Nowadays, photography trips have to look in every direction of the air in case something interesting is on offer, and there was a feeling that the fog arc is also present. The pictures show a very small glimpse of the arc and I'm not so sure anymore.

Pretty bright 22r hear and stacking revealed 9r.

Half-sky auroras

7.10.2015 at 22.28 - Helsinki (IV)
Olli Hintikka

A rare treat in Helsinki! I arrived at the observation site next to Sörnäinen Prison and on the horizon there was a calm northern lights belt and almost in the zenith a diffuse gauze that spread over the whole sky (second image). At 9:24 p.m., the gauze on my head "exploded" into bright and very vibrant northern lights (image one). I have never experienced a sudden eruption like that before. After this, dancing arches appeared in the northern hemisphere that gradually faded. A really awesome play that started early. #epraitoja

Diffuse glow

10.9.2015 at 00.30 - Helsinki (I)
Olli Hintikka

Nothing was visible in the picture from the Meteorological Department, however, I decided to go and light up a couple of squares on the hill behind the Slaughterhouse. In the midst of light pollution and cloud fibers, a small eye-catching gauze lurked.

Rare halos

I'll hurt it in September too! Parry can be found in the stacks. In addition, the sun is still a pillar. Is there another arc going uphill from the confluence of the top side and Parry? The blue line probably hides in that one picture, at least Matias Takala's observation a few hundred meters from the roof at the same time gives an indication that this would be the case.
