In the middle of Christmas preparations, a little early evening visit to the beach, when the sky is cloudless for a long time. The aurora borealis values were also on point during the day, but they died down after dark. Yes, that arch there on the horizon poked and sometimes even a little bit of life. The last night of riding the Utsjoki by myself this season. The northern lights were known and the whole day had been completely cloudy. As soon as it got dark, I started jumping outside to see if the clouds had disappeared. The Finnish Meteorological Institute promised a cloudless day from 21:00 onwards and that's how it went again. Another northern lights day at Utsjoki. This time, the gauges even promised a reasonable chance of a fire. At first, the clouds seemed to come and spoil the job, but we got really nice lights in half the sky. Of course, the best warps came after 01:00, when I had already taken the camera inside. Then the fires escaped from the firmament to the southern sky and arranged a proper dance. I'm happy to just look at these from the window.
