Last Saturday, several different halos were visible in the fairly dense ice fog, the brightest of which was the 22 overhead arc. However, the most special was a very diffuse colorless arc, which was quite sharply defined, roughly estimated at a distance of about 80 degrees from the sun. The highest point of the arch reached to the sky. I don't know if the arc is the right term for that halo, because it seemed more like the border of the ice crystals flickering, so that you could see crystals on the side of the sun and significantly less immediately outside the arc.

Nice night clouds were visible around midnight. At best, wisps of clouds reached the sky. An interesting detail was the small wave area.

Ursa's Stars Yearbook had reported the appearance of the asteroid Iris during early spring. I followed the movement of the song four evenings at the turn of February and March. The composite image is composed of four stacked images, each with approximately one minute of exposure. At the last observation on 9.3, the asteroid's brightness had dimmed somewhat, and the rising moon hampered the observation with its brightness. The bright stars in the pictures are 45 and 51Geminorum.

I noticed from the Heavens-Above app that the ISS would be going very close to Mars and Jupiter on a Sunday morning. The weather forecast promised clear weather so I had to try to describe it.

Very bright side suns were visible during the day. The crystal rained fairly evenly over a wide area, but at its best the halos were around noon. Later in the afternoon, a very dense fog of ice flew from the west where no halos were visible. The 44 side suns appeared as very dim reddish vertical streaks. It was about -18 from the frost.

The moon was not visible, but there were plenty of planets on offer. Admittedly, they were only visible for a moment between the clouds.

Before four the moon had appeared a few times, but after that the western sky was blocked. There were several cloudless areas, but none of them walked close enough to the horizon.

It came as a surprise when I happened to look at the sky. Attention was first drawn to the bright top-side and left-hand side sun. Parry was well visible. The halos on the side of the sun slowly faded, but 120saur brightened for a moment.

The air brightened towards the evening and the moon appeared in the southern sky. Based on the previous evening, I was able to estimate the position of Venus in the sky relative to the moon, which made the search much easier. Venus was surprisingly bright when it happened to be seen.
