FMI-MEPS has been forecasting the sets really accurately throughout the week. Thursday was then the best sets and the development started completely from where the models predicted. Picture of Uusikaupunki Kalanti. The same channel grabbed my cell phone as well. Other images of the general sensation when viewed from behind the area.

The only decent flash sets of the summer were captured from Myllymäki in Uusikaupunki, holding rain under a museum windmill. For lack of better video on my cell phone and I ripped the frame apart with PIPP into that one successful picture. The cell was almost in place for a long time and backbuilded just fine sets. Nearest location 1km away.

The promised rainstorms did not come and the bright evening surprised. The eclipse was nicely visible, only the mosquitoes disturbed me on an almost calm night.

The Mauri storm rumbled in the Turku archipelago. Looked a lot more promising. Just over a dozen flickers were seen, the picture balance was quite shy. The temperature in the corners of midnight in Ugi was 19c, in Turku Artukainen 00:10 it was 22.8c. A special decision of an incomprehensible weather summer.
