Someone has swept some of the dust from space around the Iris Nebula. A bit tricky to shoot with an osc camera and a light pollution filter. Light exposures for 4.25 hours. EDIT: Added version with calibrated star colors.

North American fog with a color camera and dual narrowband filter. Direct stacked and via channel extraction. This is also an interesting experiment.

The Crescent Mist climbed from a rather low place in the east, little by little higher. I've tried this before, now with better tools.

Ball M3 with a short (550 mm) focal length. With a longer tube, the stars in the middle area would appear more separate, of course. An interesting experiment, though.

Hidden Galaxy as a filming location. It is large and bright in itself, but is so close to the level of the Milky Way that interstellar dust 'hides' it. Actually an autumn destination. Quite high also in the north.

Mallet fog in severe frost. However, the heating works. Duo Narrowband (3 nm) filter and OSC camera test runs. The clubs came out quite moderately. Two images via channel extraction, with slightly different 'hardnesses'. Third straight.

Cave fog in the bitter cold. The mouth of the cave was frozen (ice in the lens), so it had to be framed like this. Duo 3nm Narrowband Filter: straight stack, color channels extracted and the latter also without stars.

I was a little late. The best pieces have time to go. Compilation of 17 min, 8 s exposures.

The starry sky has -as you might expect- also constellations, in addition to nebulae and distant galaxies (which, of course, also have stars). Praesepe on a frosty night. Fortunately, the remote control allows filming in the warmth of the living room. With and without booster spindles.

I've tried to photograph the jellyfish habitat before, but now I used a better narrowband filter. Seeing was moderate. The guidance was almost spot on: the cumulative inaccuracy was on the order of 0.7 seconds of arc.

An old familiar destination. I photographed the fog with a 135 mm lens, so it fit in its entirety in the frame. Still have to try separating the Ha-OIII channels and combining the images. Would the colors of hydrogen and oxygen come out better.

Spaghetti fog, a very challenging object due to its vast area and weak surface brightness. Getting the Samyang 135mm/2 lens on board with the rest of the equipment required a bit of improvisation. On the INPUT side, the filter is L-Ultimate, with step-down adapters. Added some vignetting and asymmetric flare of stars in the peripheral areas. An interesting experiment, though. Light only 12 x 15 min light, 12 x 15 min dark.

Another view of the comet. If you look closely at the animation, you will also notice the small movement of Mars in relation to the stars. Stacks: APP, and DSS including also star alignment.

Again, try to hold on. The intention was to photograph the comet, but those clouds... It became clear later. I chose a safe target. I only got light for 27 x 1 min, then it got cloudy again. I tried to bring out the surrounding 'fringes', but it was a bit dull. Too little data.

A ten minute vision. 550 mm is an unnecessarily long focal length if you want to see even the tail. Here's a hint of a tail, maybe also a "forward" looking beginning of a diffuse discharge. To be tried next with a 135 mm camera lens (if available).
