Several bright halo forms

4.1.2023 at 22.30 - 23.10 - Ilmajoki (III)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

Due to the height of the moon, the horizon ring appears smaller than usual. The side suns and the horizon ring were visible throughout the observation period, but the 22-ring only after that 23. The quality of the crystal cloud varied and sometimes the tallest of the artificial light pillars reached a height of approx. 50 degrees.

Other special clouds

12.11.2022 at 11.53 - 12.53 - Ilmajoki (IV)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

Very quickly, I tried to get my mobile phone ready to shoot, when I noticed a typical horseshoe swirl against the blue sky. I managed to take a few pictures of it. Satisfied, I continued my journey along the forest path when I spotted the second and after some time even the third. The conditions seemed to be favorable for their birth. But an hour after the first sighting, there were 3 of these in the sky at the same time!

Partial solar eclipse

25.10.2022 at 12.10 - 13.50 - Ilmajoki
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

The beginning of the eclipse up to the maximum was visible from a clear sky. Clouds did roll in from the south, but they didn't bother me until after the maximum (picture 8, at 1:42 p.m.) First, I put the picture from the time of the maximum around 1:20 p.m. In order, it would belong to that series as the third last.

Aurora rays

Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

In eleven countries in the evening I photographed northern lights, apparently late for better stages. The bright moonlight dimmed the repos.

Pearl clouds

16.12.2021 at 15.47 - 16.01 - Ilmajoki (III)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

As the sun set, I noticed a brighter cloud southwest on the horizon. Very colorful cloud, but when I got home and photographed the lower clouds were already sliding forward, dimming the best views. Unfortunately, the pearl cloud was overexposed in the images so the colors don’t show up so well (Figure 1). To the west, right on the horizon, a white pearly or acidic version also began to appear (Fig. 2). Both cloud areas are very small in size.

Rare halos

27.11.2021 at 12.30 - 14.00 - Seinäjoki (IV)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

There were cannons in Joupiska, Seinäjoki, and there were halos in the area. Moilanen's arch is very clear when seen from several places. About -16 degrees below zero.

Eye-catching night shining clouds

21.7.2021 at 00.30 - 01.00 - Ilmajoki (V)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

The dog took me out again at night, at first I admired the moon falling on the horizon in red. When I looked higher I noticed the waistbands; "What, the whole sky is full of these." Bright belts full of heaven, wow. I had to describe these.

Several halo forms

30.4.2021 at 09.50 - 10.15 - Ilmajoki (II)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

In the high cloud slices, my attention was drawn to the color beach, which was quite low and far from the sun. Honeymooning hurt well at 46 pool-side locations. Other halo forms were not visible until about 20 min later, namely the side sun and 22 the upper side. Only dim 22 tires before this observed from April, but let me get something to report before the end of halo April! The pictures could have been better, but the cell phone and the paperback were just included.

Maan varjo

5.1.2021 at 15.30 - Ilmajoki (III)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

After sunset, the earth’s shadow was nicely visible in the frosty frosty weather.

Pearl clouds

5.1.2021 at 15.15 - 16.45 - Ilmajoki (III)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

Clear frost (-17) again made it possible to observe the sky. After sunset, pale cloudy beaches began to appear in Rusko, which I suspected to be pearly. As the evening darkened, the pearlescent brown became more pronounced, continuing for about 1 1/2 hours of sunset.

A narrow crescent moon falling to the horizon.

Quiet aurora arc

21.1.2020 at 21.30 - Ilmajoki (II)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

On a jog with the dog, I noticed a dim arc of northern lights, from which I grabbed the picture below after getting the camera in my hands.

Moon

21.1.2020 at 10.00 - Ilmajoki (II)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

In the morning sky, I noticed a narrow crescent moon, from which I grabbed a picture with a paperback.

Maan varjo

13.1.2020 at 09.40 - Ilmajoki (III)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

From the morning quite a nice shadow of the Earth, accompanied by almost a full moon.

Penumbral lunar eclipse

10.1.2020 at 21.00 - 22.15 - Ilmajoki (II)
Mauri Korpi, Lakeuden Ursa

The clouds scared an hour before the deepest phase, but eventually the deepest phase was visible from the clear sky. Just over an hour later, the clouds didn't bother me either. At the deepest stage, the darker lower edge stood out clearly, but an hour later the eyes did not really see any darkening, even though the very lower right edge of the moon still stood out narrowly dark in the image.
