Venus and Jupiter met in the western sky in the constellation Pisces. The distance between the planets was about the size of a full moon. Venus was higher. Jupiter's (Galilean) moons stood out clearly.

I digiscoped the moon from the eyepiece of a 16 inch reflecting telescope. The terminator area and the craters in the southern parts of the moon stood out nicely.

I photographed Orion's large gas nebula with a 16-inch mirror telescope, where the prime focus was a Canon EOS 6D camera and a coma-corrector lens. The image is a single image with an exposure time of 40 seconds ISO4000.

Comet ZTF was visible bright in the northern sky in the constellation Ursa Minor near the star Kochab. Shot with a 15 second exposure through a 16" mirror telescope. Canon EOS 6D.

I photographed the bird trail in Karstula's Humpi village between Kilve and Kassiopeia in a rather dark place near the old bird tower. Canon EOS 6D, Samyang 14 mm f:2.8, ISO 6400, exposure time 30 seconds. The light pollution of Karstula's central drive is visible in the lower part of the picture.

I observed a partial solar eclipse in Karstula N63 by photographing the reflection projected by binoculars on white cardboard. Canon EOS 6D, EF 100. The maximum of the eclipse was at 13:20. The weather was clear and cloudy at until 14, so the entire partial solar eclipse was visible,.

I photographed the aurora borealis visible for a short time in Karstula N63 E24. At the beginning, they were bright on the northern horizon for 10-15 minutes and then they spread dimmer towards the zenith. The show was over in half an hour. Photographed with Canon EOS 6D camera 14 mm Samyang wide angle ISO 1400, f:2.8, 15 seconds exposure time.
