Empä also remembered to put this before ... The head was dimly visible to the naked eye just before the comet was set behind the forest.

I photographed the northern lights at night and after looking at those pictures I noticed in the uvi involved, first a tail star and later another tail star. The direction of the description was to the north and the tail stars were visible in the image at a sufficiently magnified level, roughly northwest well above the horizon. I remember that then a tail star had to be visible in the sky but why this time there were two. This was left to dig into which stars were visible. The camera was a Canon EOS 5 Mark II and the optics were 24-70 / 2.8 and possibly 70-200 / 2.8. If necessary, I can put so...

My traditional observation routine with shipments of tracking equipment was repeated for the last time this spring. I decided to start filming a comet south of Otava's tail, from which several observations had already been made in the Sky Watch. The object appears dimly green in the image and its tail pointed almost straight south. Confusingly, a single star appeared from the center of Koma to the side. Not this shocking comet, but a fiery one. Since the brightness of the sky didn’t bother me significantly yet, I later decided to still try to capture a few more bright DS surfaces.

Late night trend and shot type shooting without surveillance and camera optics, no tools for visual observation.

The comet shots continue, despite the bright nights. I tried to get a better picture of the comet alone now. I don't want to get much out of it. Just as there would be another much weaker and narrower tail in that 7 o'clock direction, you might be imagining just that.

Such came from my own rap on the subject of the encounter of a comet and a galaxy. That M51 galaxy is moderately visible, but at the same time the comet remained weak. The second image is more severely delimited by its comet.

Now that the comet was closest to the M51, I decided that now there has to be that tile. I spent an exceptional amount of time aiming at the focus and focusing, and everything was perfectly in place. Therefore, quality light from a comet. It came, but after three exposures, the camera stopped working. What an awesome moment to run out of battery, I had to take the battery to charge for a while and at the same time had to take the camera off the tripod and the pole sight should be renewed. After a while of charging, I did everything new again, but nothing seemed to hit at all and I had to worry...

New business from this location. The tracking of the stand also agreed to work. The sky is already quite light, but still the comet came into the picture well. Due to the north wind, the night was surprisingly cold. Ice fishing overalls were no exaggeration at all.

Treatment of the three Ks for ascites: C omet C / 2012 K1 PanStarrs K alaksi M51 (Swirl galaxy) K ylmä darker season reminiscent of frost The northern sky in particular was clearly light, but fortunately (in terms of darkness) the duo was close to zenith. The downside was that it was difficult to align the tripod with Otava, who had left the familiar place.

Out of curiosity, I tried to see if there was still enough darkness at this altitude to describe the comet. The intention was to use a longer focal length, but there was something wrong with the pedestal systems and it refused to cooperate. Therefore, I introduced 200 mm / 1.8 optics and got some kind of trace even without tracking. The technical quality of the picture is quite terrible, but it is a bad picture. The wider image area also fit the galaxy M51 and Otava's star Alcaid.

The comet currently best described. Illuminated summer nights only matter.

Comet Panstarrs is now quite close to the Alkaid star at the bucket terminal in Ottawa. I photographed the subject with 135 and 200 mm teles. Even in Pirkanmaa, the brightness of the background sky is already starting to affect, as can be seen from the second picture taken an hour later. Annoyance. this would otherwise be a handsome comet. Goes on May Day less than two degrees past the large M51 galaxy. Edit: Added a better color image when I got extra power for image processing on my computer.

The last observation nights of the spring are going on and this time comet C / 2012 K1 Panstarrs grabbed me from the edges of Päijänne National Park. The comet, which is easily located near Otava but is still a little difficult to see with binoculars, has continued to brighten. Unfortunately, the background sky also brightens as summer approaches, making it difficult to study this play, but still at least some data was stored on the camera cell. In addition to the traditional stacked image, I also featured an animation / timelapse of eight images. Although it does not cover more than eight min...

Comet C / 2012 K1 (PANSTARRS) stood out quite easily between the Otava bucket and the Bear Guard. The tail came out moderately, especially in the negative image. Images are in black and white.
