Clearly visible night shining clouds - 22.7.2021 at 00.16 - 22.7.2021 at 01.35 Kouvola Observation number 100043

Visibility III / V

Tero Sipinen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

It was a little annoying to leave the continuation of the illuminating night cloud observation tube (12 nights) solely on the on-call camera but there were no bangs to monitor for longer after using the mega-play.

So I left a quarter without a midnight camera in the hallway window facing north to snap pictures at a moderate one-minute interval. I guess the belief in the continuation of the tube was not high when there were even lower clouds at the beginning of the filming.

There was enough plain cloud to varying degrees until dawn in the morning, but between 0.16 and 1.35 the occurrence of night clouds and cracks in ordinary clouds coincided to such an extent that the pipe was extended.

So already the thirteenth night illuminating night clouds in Kouvola. I have not studied my observations from previous years, but I guess they are personal. record.

Attached is a snapshot at 0.53 and a rough animation from 23.43-3.12
