A fireball in a twilight sky - 13.10.2021 at 07.36 Sodankylä Observation number 101775

Visibility III / V

I drove my car from the church village of Sodankylä towards the eastern shore of Kitinen to the north. Shortly before the Kelukoski power bridge, according to the car's clock at 07.36, I saw a bright ball of light in the right (northeast) sky. Although the morning sky was already moderately clear, the ball was very clear against it. The target came towards the ground at a slightly curved angle of about 10 degrees quickly and disappeared from my eyes into the horizon (behind the trees) after about two seconds of showing up. I drove a car during the observation, so I couldn’t hear any sound about the phenomenon. The fireball was spherical in shape, with no tail or the like visible behind it.
