Visibility V / V
It was an evening. By 18 o'clock I was already starting to worry, as the predicted clear night looked a little desperate as the sky was in a cloud and I was pessimistic. At that time, there would have been little northern lights in the sky that I didn’t see. Fortunately, the sky became clearer when quite large northern lights entered the stage. I chose a highway that was only a couple of hundred feet north of my apartment. There I photographed for the first two hours when I later found a good spot on the banks of the Kitisenjoki. There were a lot of big fires even before midnight, including rarities like SAR and dunes. I thought everything had already been seen, but sometimes by 1:37 a.m. came a mind-blowing northern lights crown that really crowned the evening. Twice I had to go home to change my shoes because my legs got wet while I was traveling in the snow and the camera battery was lost somewhere, but I can't care after such a wonderful evening. Attached is a link to a video about the northern lights corona, as the file size seems to exceed the Star of the Sky watch.
