A fireball at night, as bright as a crescent moon - 25.1.2022 at 18.36 Vaasa, Vähäkyrö Observation number 104216

Visibility III / V

Not visible

I came from the forest to the open field, turned off the headlamp when I noticed the northern lights in the northern sky. I put a message to a friend about the northern lights at 18.36 and at the same minute a ball of light flew from east to west in front of me. Initially, the brain indicated that it was an airplane, because the area is quite close to Vaasa Airport, and I immediately concluded that the speed is higher than that of an ascending or descending aircraft and is not normal for either event. I then decided it was a "star flight," I made a wish. The ball was oval and not quite precise, the stern seemed broken. It went out quickly, but not suddenly and no remnants of it were visible.

Harri Jaako - 25.1.2022 at 21.11 Report this

25.1.2022 kello 21.00 Perhokuja Tornio.
