Northern lights were visible from his own yard to the north. I was watching the stars outside when I noticed cloud-like rays appearing in the sky. As I marveled at them in my time, they intensified and I realized they were northern lights. Mostly gleaming in shades of green, but sometimes red was also visible. They looked surprisingly bright and were great. I took the pictures on my cell phone. They also looked dimmer when I got inside.
