Visibility V / V
An incredibly fast night, the repos were already visible from the dusky sky in the early evening well before eight o'clock. From the beginning of the evening, there was a rather dune-like "overhang" on the edge of the arch, and I was waiting for them, but I couldn't hear them, I couldn't see them. The evening was crowned by the aurora borealis lit up at the zenith at half past two.
At two o'clock in the night, a real disco was going on, the reps quite successfully imitated strobe lights. I doubted the presence of dunes, but the moon disturbed the view surprisingly much, especially in the early evening, when the reposes were a little more "modest" :P I also wondered about the pink pillar on the west side, it practically stayed in place for the whole three hours.
I tried to whiten as many pictures from the evening as possible, it's hard to choose from among 900 pictures (proper pictures for once!) and Korona did steal this show...
The event report can be found on the blog, welcome to read :)
I edited the text and pictures regarding the dunes. In my photos, there are dunes in the repo arc between 0.28.49-1.06.21 on the northeast and northwest sides. On the northwest side, there was cloud fiber and the moon hindering the observation, but the structure of the dunes stands out when you plan the picture a bit... I changed the pictures; I added the clearest dune shot and the disintegration of the so-called dune shelf :)
