Rima Hyginus
This 220km long Rilli is located on the southern edge of Mare Vaporum. In the middle of the ridge is the Caldera - about 9km in diameter. Probably a volcanic formation, as it does not show edging ramparts that would rise above the surrounding plateau. A chain of at least 12 craters is visible in the gorge branching from the caldera to the northwest (upper left). The chain is probably the result of a collapsed lava tunnel, or they are smaller discharge openings.
