Northern lights that lasted all night appeared in the sky as the evening darkened into night. The night sky is no longer completely dark at this time of year, so the contrast between the repos and the background sky wasn’t quite what one might have expected: the northern lights looked a little modest. The northern lights activity was visible until dusk and probably continued until the early hours of the morning. Here are a few pictures of the best moments, the last couple of pictures are already at dusk.

Vaasassa näytti taivas vaalenneen kolmen jälkeen. Show oli tosiaan vielä silloin menossa. Zeniitin suunnilla näyttää ainakin Osmo Actionille kontrasti riittäneen hyvinkin.
Pimeät yöt päättyvät Tampereen leveydellä virallisesti 17./18. päivinä. Tänä vuonna tilanne on hieman huonompi kirkkaan kuutamon vuoksi. Täysikuu on huomenna 16.4.2022, joten tälle keväälle ei enää ole pimeää taivasta tarjolla. Toki kapeakaistaisesti voi vielä kuvata jonkin aikaa mutta näissä revontulihommissa siitä ei ole apua.
Helsingissä klo 23 tienoilla oli taivas sameasti auki 15 asteen korkeuteen ja meni sitten tukkoon esityksen parhaaseen aikaan.
Säiden kanssa on kaikki mahdollista.
