Landscape image of a planet - 3.5.2022 at 23.23 - 3.5.2022 at 23.27 Rusko Observation number 106616

Visibility Unclassified

Mikko Peussa, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

Mercury near the horizon is just a dot in the sky in the camera image. So I looked at the map at home and looked for a place where I could get something more included. With a ruler, I took directions on a map and looked at the angles and heights. There seemed to be a bus stop on the gently sloping uphill on Vahdontie, from which Merkiurius could be seen above Rusko Church at a suitable time. At first I didn’t separate it and thought if it would be too low though. After a quarter of an hour I returned to the place and it was already there.

The atmosphere flickered and the brightness of Mercury varied in intervals of a few seconds as seen on the screen. I took the series with the thought that a little more brightness would hit a picture. A couple of squares then, I saved them in the depths of my archives to commemorate this project as well.

Hyvin sunniteltu projekti on puoliksi tehty projekti! Ja siihen vielä hyvä toteutus päälle niin kyllä kelpaa.
