Serpensharjanne (Dorsa Smirnov, Dorsa Lister, Dorsum Nicol) - 6.5.2022 at 22.28 Vantaa, Pähkinärinne Observation number 106669

Visibility Unclassified

Paula Wirtanen, Ursa (Helsinki)

A single image of the eastern edge of Mare Serenitatis, where the ridges known as the Snake Ridge really stood out. Quite interestingly, this lighting also distinguished the "eyes" peeking from the dark side of the terminator, which are the ramparts of the craters that the Sun's light hits while the bottom is still hidden.

The most obvious peeking eyes are Posidonius N and Sarabhai (Bessel A).

Vesa Puistovaara distinguishes the area from the Taurus-Littrow area and Posidonius from the observation made at the same time .

#Lunar100: 033
