A fireball at night, as bright as a full moon - 16.8.2022 at 00.08 Turku Observation number 108550

Visibility III / V

Not visible

I was in the car at the traffic lights at the corner of Messukentänkatu and Suikkilantien, when I noticed a fireball as bright as the moon with a long sparkling tail passing me in the same direction in the sky as the car was at the intersection. N 60° 27.248' and E 22° 11.687' The sky was cloudless.

The fireball was several times the size of Perseid. Very big. In addition to the white main color, its tail partially left a red tail, which disappeared quickly.
