Sun - 24.9.2022 at 12.30 - 24.9.2022 at 13.00 Joensuu Observation number 109498

Visibility III / V

Antti Taskinen, Joensuun Seulaset

A momentary opening in the cloud cover calls for a chance to catch a glimpse of the Sun. With the binoculars, I saw that there is now a lot of "fly poo" on the surface, so I wanted to take a closer look at the situation. So I piled the telescope on the terrace and even managed to take a few pictures before the situation passed when the Sun was hidden behind the pine tops and the clouds rolled back into the sky. There were 6 comma groups in sight: 3102, 3105, 3107-3110. Of these, 3105 and 3107, which are located at the bottom left of the picture, clearly had the most spots, a couple of dozen in both. It would be nice to follow the development of the speckled groups, but the weather here for the next few days seems to support only following the clouds...
