Visibility III / V
On the night of 23/24/10/2022, I was finally able to spot a little better aurora borealis, this time finally in a dark place in the scenery of Palusjärvi in Kullaa, Ulvila. During the show, a calm arc was first visible, which slowly rose up in the sky and became an active belt at approx. 23:23-23:40. In all the hustle and bustle, I forgot to put on the anti-fog collar to warm the lens right away, and because of this, unfortunately, the lens fogged up during the most active phase. I put the anti-fog collar in place, but the lens warmed up slowly and that's why there was a frost strip in the middle of the lens, which can be seen in the photos taken at the best stage. After this, the show calmed down, but a new aurora belt started to develop in the northern sky at around 00:10. from At this point, the play no longer reached the kind of artillery that it had during the first substorm. I followed the play for about half an hour until I decided to go home feeling exhausted.
