The last night of riding the Utsjoki by myself this season. The northern lights were known and the whole day had been completely cloudy. As soon as it got dark, I started jumping outside to see if the clouds had disappeared. The Finnish Meteorological Institute promised a cloudless day from 21:00 onwards and that's how it went again. As if by magic, at 20:50 the clouds cleared. And what a show it was with the whole sky full of fire. Unbelievable, how at the time of the new moon in the middle of the desert you don't need a flashlight, but you can walk by the light of the northern lights. There was fire everywhere. Again, there were a few pictures of the Avvacohkka hill in the south direction. After 23:00, an incredible color started to appear in the sky, I have never seen red in the sky with my own eyes before. After this, the camera ran out of battery. Four batteries were a bit too few for a week's trip. There would also be an action camera timelapse from the end of the evening, but perhaps these pictures tell the best about the evening.
Utsjoki was very good for this tyke.

Tosi upeita kuvia. Etenkin kuva numero 5 on jotenkin erityisen hieno.
Kiitos! Tuo oli kyllä todella erikoinen ilmestys tuo vitoskuvassa oleva. Erikoisesti oli nuo säteet ihan kuin erillisenä tuolla takana.
On kyllä huikea tuo viimeinenkin kuva!
Huh kun on hienoa! Upeaa syvyyttä ja mittasuhteita.
Tuo viimeinen kuva oli ihan viimeisiä panoraamoja, mitä sai tehtyä ennen akkujen loppumista. Oli kyllä aivan käsittämättömät tulet. Kovin näyttää pieneltä tuo 300-metrinen tunturi tuolla oikeassa laidassa.
No enpä ole ikinä ennen nähnyt tällaisia revontuli-kuvia, ihan mielettömän upeita ja erikoisia wow wow WOW!!
