(38042) 1998 SA10 (1998 SA10,1997 GV22) Outer main belt asteroid imaged on the second night of the 2022 September talcos. The Pallas family asteroid was discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS; obs. code: 703) exploration program at the Steward Observatory's Catalina Station on September 21, 1998. The CSS search program has found a total of 25602 asteroids. The size of the asteroid is 12.06 km. When photographing, the asteroid was at a distance of 1.6395au and at its closest on August 22, 2022 at 1.561au.

3 Image sum image L30s 1-11 from a stack of images, the movement is weakly visible. There are no other asteroids below 24.0 mag in the picture.
