Visibility I / V
ZTF detected. It looked like a very dim smudge.
The moon and the hazy sky made it difficult to find, as well as the fact that there was no brighter star nearby and also the binoculars had to be aimed almost vertically up. The stars of the Big Dipper and also the North Star helped in bracketing the location.
This was the fourth comet I have observed for myself, the first one was Halley's.
