A fireball at night, brighter than the venus - 23.5.2023 at 23.44 - 23.5.2023 at 23.44 Pirkkala Observation number 116255

Visibility III / V

Not visible

We happened to be in Pirkkala in the vicarage bird tower with my friend, watching Finnish nature when my friend returned to Finland from the United States. We found out what the bright "star" next to the moon is and it was apparently Venus. After that, after standing there for a while, a large rocket-like thing approached Nokia (as seen from Pirkkala) and exploded in the air just before the forest. It was really really big, not a basic shooting star. We were witnessed by two people. I already tried to attach a video of the traces it left, unfortunately we didn't get the explosion itself on the video.
