Moon - 2.2.2012 at 23.45 Tampere Observation number 1797

Visibility III / V

Rainbow Bay The surface of the moon is seldom beautifully lit.

The moon is in such a position today that the entire Jura Mountains are illuminated on the dark side of the terminator, looking like a half of a golden ring, or the moon's rugged "rain" arc.

Whoever has a decent camera would now get great pictures of it !!!

Even small binoculars show well. The last time I saw this years ago, it really doesn’t happen nearly every month.

Kiitos Panu, en ollut löytänyt kaikkia kategorioita vielä, olin ajatellut kirjaavani vain halohavaintoja. :-)
