Visibility III / V
Half an hour before midnight, a dim greenishness was heard through the gauze. Maybe remnants of the previous burst, but forecasts motivate continued on-call. The warping began after the observation site change just after the tripod had been set up and the lens cover dried with a cuff. The peak period started at 23:49 and lasted a couple of minutes. The fires were well visible and the rays splashed all the way to Otava, even though there was a cloud of gauze in between. The fading lights in the elevator separated ten minutes after midnight. Some of the shots went blurry when the lens cover got wet again. It was the second finest performance of the year after reaching the zenith of spring.
