Visibility IV / V
I noticed from the testbed just before that a heavy downpour was approaching from the north. Then it started to flash and rumble and after a while it was rumbling and loud. For a while, the granules came with quite a bit of force and their average size was a little over a centimeter and the largest about three centimeters and irregular! I have never seen such large granules before! I put the largest ones in the freezer. As of this writing (over an hour after deafness) there were still a lot of centimeter hail on the ground and the air was cooling considerably. There were quite a lot of ice cubes under the downpipes of the gutters.
